Fortunately, there are no zombies in our world. We've got enough problems. All the coastal cities are under water, and it's too hot here to grow anything but cactuses. Rumor has it that there's food (and maybe women!) in the northern Appalachians. Trouble is, to get there we've either got to cross the Southeastern Swamp, or the Great Midwestern Desert. Not many vehicles that can pull that off. Things were looking pretty grim until we found this: More to follow.

It's the Fujimi kit. Sorry, I didn't document the build. I extended it the hard way, careful cutting and sheet styrene. I'll give you more details if you're interested. I'm glad you like it, it really was fun. Thanks

Try a soldering iron if you have one. A fairly light touch will shrink the tubing without damaging the plastic underneath. HTH

Some guys say it doesn't work for them, but I've had great success with Westley's Bleche Wite. Everything I've tried has been clean and ready to go in 15-20 minutes.

I got an answer about chrome headlight washes a while back. Check out this thread: http://www.modelcars...=1 It's too bad the pictures aren't there any more, those headlights looked great. Hope that helps, your truck is looking cool!

When I bought my airbrush (Badger 200) many years ago, I only had an unregulated tankless compressor. I got a brass adapter to go from the 1/4" threads on the compressor to the airbrush hose. The airbrush instructions said to drill a #72 hole in that adapter for use with the tankless compressor. That setup worked fine. Now I have a regulated compressor that I typically leave set at 100 psi. I can plug the airbrush and that adapter with the hole in it right into 100 psi and it sprays fine. I'm curious if anyone else has tried this rig, and how it compares to a regulated air supply. (Just to be clear, that tiny hole bleeds air constantly.)

I've never done a CBP or this type of vehicle, but it sounds really fun, so I'm in with a monster truck. Don't hold your breath, tho, I build sloooooooowww!

OK, so it's 1/12 scale, so the parts are bigger and easier to detail. I don't care, I still have to say: How do you do that! I think your real secret is that you've developed a shrink ray. Like all your builds this is absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing it.

Glad to see this one up again, Bill. That engine looks great! The weathering and detail painting is awesome. Interior looks nice too.
