  1. Here's one that was just for fun.
  2. Thanks! That's all I need to know!
  3. Does anybody know what 1:1 monster truck bodies are made of? I'm guessing fiberglass or aluminum, but I don't know. Thanks.
  4. Nope. "I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn!"
  5. If so, he's not the only one!
  6. Heck yeah! They did come up with the AMX. Now that was a nice looking car.
  7. You know what they say, "If you remember the '70s, you weren't there." It's true that the Gremlin looked like any other AMC car with the back end cut off, but the Pacer was one of the strangest car designs ever.
  8. That looks great. I would definitely tailgate there. But look out for the huge killer Collie!
  9. I have some ocean front real estate near Phoenix, if you don't need a bridge.
  10. I say again, even more emphatically, How do you DO that? Just amazing!
  11. Try a soldering iron if you have one. A fairly light touch will shrink the tubing without damaging the plastic underneath. HTH
  12. Some guys say it doesn't work for them, but I've had great success with Westley's Bleche Wite. Everything I've tried has been clean and ready to go in 15-20 minutes.
  13. Ditto. Here is the EFI version of Ken's engine. I changed the bell housing and transmission, but you can see what the block looks like.
  14. I got an answer about chrome headlight washes a while back. Check out this thread: http://www.modelcars...=1 It's too bad the pictures aren't there any more, those headlights looked great. Hope that helps, your truck is looking cool!
  15. Thanks, Bob, I'm still driving the International in the pic. Thanks, Andy, I will give it a try.
  16. When I bought my airbrush (Badger 200) many years ago, I only had an unregulated tankless compressor. I got a brass adapter to go from the 1/4" threads on the compressor to the airbrush hose. The airbrush instructions said to drill a #72 hole in that adapter for use with the tankless compressor. That setup worked fine. Now I have a regulated compressor that I typically leave set at 100 psi. I can plug the airbrush and that adapter with the hole in it right into 100 psi and it sprays fine. I'm curious if anyone else has tried this rig, and how it compares to a regulated air supply. (Just to be clear, that tiny hole bleeds air constantly.)
  17. I've never done a CBP or this type of vehicle, but it sounds really fun, so I'm in with a monster truck. Don't hold your breath, tho, I build sloooooooowww!
  18. Hey, that looks great. I haven't seen one of those yet. Mostly Crown Vics around here too. I hope the first one I see isn't in my mirror with the lights on!
  19. OK, so it's 1/12 scale, so the parts are bigger and easier to detail. I don't care, I still have to say: How do you do that! I think your real secret is that you've developed a shrink ray. Like all your builds this is absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing it.
  20. Glad to see this one up again, Bill. That engine looks great! The weathering and detail painting is awesome. Interior looks nice too.
  21. Totally immaculate! Well done!
  22. Ford 4.9L truck engine from Kitchen Table resins, with parts from various F150 kits and scratch built parts.
  23. Looks great! The wheels in the Revell '32 Ford 5 window are close.
  24. Sometimes craters are caused by silicone contamination. After stripping it 3 times, and since the primer is OK, that is pretty unlikely, but if you're using cleaners or polish that might have silicone in them, it might have gotten into your AB or the paint. It only takes a tiny amount. This is probably not your problem, but something to think about.
