Molded in lights of any kind Full detail kits being molded in color, more so the body, just a pet peeve of mine. Revell AG boxes
-
FYI, That is why I like to buy my Revell kits from Tower Hobbies, I got stung not once, but twice with the VW Golf and having the wrong parts trees in the kit, Tower Hobby sent me a replacement kit and told me to keep the first kit. They do ship to Canada I do believe and you wont have to wait for months for Revell AG , heck, I never got a reply back from Revell AG, and this has been how long now since that kit was released?

Gotta live life a little bit, not everything is written in stone Are you coming to the meeting tomorrow ? -
Moving forward , started working on the interior , let's start with the dash, stripped the chrome on the middle section, top/bottom was painted in Tamiya Nato Black, steering wheel/column in semi gloss black Jumping forward, one completed interior , interior tub and seats painted in a flat black. Now, I am not going to lie, I am not 100% happy with the interior, I did attempt to do a black/white interior theme, but it did not turned out very well, so I just went to all black. And a more closer to finished chassis, all that is left at this point I believe is the two flat panels for the underside and the brake rotors, I have still yet to paint them, and I am trying to find a color, ( preferably in the Metalizer line) that is close to the Carbon Ceramic color And how about this one( first coat,no pearl coat( mid coat) yet)

You are welcome David, I and I agree, Plamoz's stuff is top notch and worth every penny, I too will be getting a set of wheels for the Merc too , same here, not too keen on the kit wheels either.

2016 Revell Germany, new releases
martinfan5 replied to Luc Janssens's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
As another content creator for Youtube, I have no issue's with what Tom is doing and he is just playing the Youtube game in its currnt form and trust me, he is not the only one. And Niteowl has done a great job at explaining how it all works, and brings up an interesting point I want to comment on. And that is getting products for free to review, and he is very much correct that you risk having the company(s) pulling support if you dont do a glowing review, that is just how that game is played too, and at the same time, that can also make the reviewer a bit bias towards the company(s) and then no longer offering a 100% un-bias review, and than what good is that review is they are going to blow smoke up your rear end, to me, that is not worth the paper its printed on. Ive done a handful of product reviews video's and all the products expect one was paid for with my own money, and the one that was free was sent to me to try out, not for doing a review, the review of said product was my idea. While I would love to get free products to review, I wont accept them if I can not do a honest review, good or bad. -

Nice start and good job on the cab. -
With the paint I wanted for this now finally available for it( paint has been ordered) , it was time to get started on it. Engine mostly done, I need to touch up the black, but I doubt I am going to do a lot more since it will be hidden once finished.

It can be done!
martinfan5 replied to Luc Janssens's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yep, its been doable for some time, it is a shame that other company's are not doing it, Meng put Gaadrich on the side of the Hummer tires, so even that is better than completely blank sidewalls. -

$30+ kits - hows it affect you?
martinfan5 replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
$30 kit prices, LOL, yeah, doenst bother me in the least and is not going to stop me, I have no problems paying $30 for fine Japanese kits, but I will tell you what it will do, if Revell and Round 2 put $30 price tags on what is at best a $20 kit, then yes, that will stop me from buying their kits. If they are going to charge $30 for a kit, I expect that kit to be worth $30. -

Your opinion and not fact, and yes, I am into imports and current trends, but just because you dont like current cars, doesn't mean nobody else does, plenty of juts Facebook model groups proves your statement is merely opinion , there is a large group of us that dont wear rose colored glasses and yearn for yesteryear. I think cars are cooler today then were of a by gone era, maybe in different way. And you need to stop speaking for the hobby as whole, I agree, the hobby here in the US has a short life span, but in the rest of the world where the hobby doesn't live in the past, its has a very bright future and getting better and growing everyday. Of course, that is just my opinion as well, so what do I know
