  1. Very nice work on that chassis, brought that simple chassis to life.
  2. And you are the one that said she hasnt done much since, she is having a better year than some current Cup drivers, she is only 18, she has plenty of time to make it to the top series, and to be honest, I don't want to see her rushed like so many other drivers have , geebus Mark, give her some to mature as race car driver and make her way up. But since you can predict the future, mind giving me some winning lotto numbers to play ??
  3. Yeah, Tamiya primer is pretty good at stopping hotter paint from crazing.
  4. Dont feel bad, you are the not the only to have issues with Zero paints crazing, even thru primer, what primer did you use?, and you might be able to sand those areas and repaint and salvage that paint job, but, you risk crazing again using the same paint, darned if you do and darned if you dont.
  5. Of course , you are 100% correct, wrapping cars is very popular, more so in the exotic world, but in this case, this is not a privately own Supra that was wrapped in camo used by the manufacture to hide the car, this is more than likely a test mule or who knows what going by the DST plate.
  6. Hmm, I think you are right, at first I thought the top two letters were MF , which kind of look it, but the T at the bottom is clear, honestly, the wheels are tires look to be the same size as on the current in production model. They are testing something for sure and it very well could be BMW doing the testing , interesting for sure.
  7. More than likely the reason the paint is the lifting is because of the paint itself, which paint are you using that gets lifted?
  8. That is a test mule car, so Toyota is testing something for the Supra , that is standard test mule camo the manufactures use. You will also notice the plate is not a standard cali plate.
  9. I believe this is what Richard is talking about https://www.testors.com/product-catalog/testors-brands/testors/lacquer-paint/colored-chromes/
  10. Those dots go one the lower part of the body between the wheels, they are holes use to attached pieces that help NASCAR tech the cars, but since you are building a 2018 car, those dots are not going to be used, 2018 NASCAR started using the OSS scanning system and those pieces that were used in before are not anymore. 2017 pre qualifying trim 2018 pre qualifying trim
  11. Scale Auto, with a kick to nuts?
  12. Right there, you said it, "a lexus is not exactly a Toyota" I only replied with the info I did because you made it seem like you didnt know, I was just trying to help you .
  13. What Steve said really does cover it, I second the use Tamiya primers, never had a issue one using that primer with the paint.
  14. Very nice work Scott.
  15. I kicked the Bucket and took my photos( well most of them, I still have one account I use for storage only) and started to use my Flickr account I had for years for hosting, but they pulled a Photobucket last year, so I took those photos and went over to Fotki. Pricing, they were the best option for what you got in terms of storage at the time.
  16. Nice.
  17. Solid job
  18. Here is the new Starlet kit from Hasegawa, paint is Toyota Thundercloud Met( I got it use on the Land Cruiser 100 kit) it seem to fit the car, but I should of used a different color and saved it for a more stock version, moving on. Overall, I did not a good job on this one, I pretty much ruined all the windows in various ways, the front clip is way over complicated and a real PITA to get in place. I ruined the some of the interior decals that go on the door panels, man, even the photos sucks, on to the next one. I am just posting it as proof that I completed another model.
  19. A few items that arrived yesterday
  20. Yeah, Id build it, its also the Infiniti Q50 .
