  1. I like using it , but I love using my Eclipses, and don't want to give up using them for a trigger
  2. That is a cool color you picked.
  3. I was too Bill, I didnt really care for it either, but its growing me as well, and I cant to build the second one I have planned, just waiting on the decals to get finished. That is pretty much my life as a builder, I am lucky when things do right, as its more normal for things to go wrong, as for the clear, I knows what going, I am not cleaning the top area on bottle so the hardener is drying , locking the cap on, so when I break take the cap off, pieces of hardener are falling down into the fresh hardener. I got some strainers and that helped a lot, as I the pint of hardener is brand new, I dont want to have to replace it. I understand why its not your favorite thing, I used to feel the same way, and now I enjoy it for most part, just not when things go wrong, well, I dont enjoy painting bodies with spray cans. Painting is one those things that does make or break a model , or how it looks.
  4. Progress, and its the good time , second time is the one that worked, new coat of paint/clear , got the clear on last night, it still has a few spots that I need to address, but its much better than the first time , I am going to let it cure for another day or so and then get starting on the wet sanding the areas that need attention. Maybe bu the end of the weekend I can this one done.
  5. Yeah, we all say that This is on my list of kits to build this year too.
  6. I use what I call faux carbon fiber paint, its Testors Graphite Met, the shade is very close to that of C/F, those pieces would be something I would use the paint on, gives that "appearance" of C/F, just FYI for you.
  7. Off to a good start
  8. You make good Jeff, you are right, it can be both good and bad, sorry to hear about your dad, lol those are my favorite types of dinners, and no wonder why I am getting fatter , sigh.
  9. Oh wow, I hope they are feeling better now.
  10. Today's irk, edger, rocks, and a pane of glass, I think you can figure out what happened, here is hoping the insurance will cover this
  11. I am going to second Matt and say Moeibus would be smart to offer that utility bed as a separate kit, I bet it would sell really good as it own kit, I have no personal desire to build a 65/66 Ford, but that utility bed with be right home on pretty much every single long bed frame single drive wheel truck from the 60's thru the 90's.
  12. Thank you very much for the info John, I would probably build it as some sort of utility/commercial vehicle .
  13. Tom, I have two Eclipses , one with the .35 and one with the .5 and I prefer the .3 as I use it pretty much all the time, to me, the .5 needle set uses more paint , and I prefer the less paint that is used on the .3 needle set . Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy using the Procon Brush.
  14. Thank for that info John, very informative , can those steelies be used on the MPC Bad Company 82 van?(period correct)
  15. I am taking the real version of Mucinex, and it works for the most part, I do think if I am still coughing by mid week I am going to go get checked out , as it could be bronchitis, never had it before, so its a first time for every thing. And by doing that , I get the wife of my back of , you need to go the Dr , lucky you though Richard, having some medical professional in your family , that I bet comes in handy.
  16. You know whats really irking me, week 4 of getting my rear end handed to me with sinus issues, I know its going around and like everyone is suffering, but I am tired of suffering and want to stop coughing and being a Mucus factory.
  17. The PS 290 is a fantastic air brush like my friend Dale is saying, its top notch quality, its a very solid piece, and it compliments my two Eclipses . I will say this, I wish I got the .3 instead of the .5
  18. Would of been nice if the tooled up a step bumper, but, those steelies, I am guessing they are ones that are used in the 78 Monaco kits...
  19. This is all need to do if you dont care for any of the content that is not model kit related, not that hard too, even a cave man could do it
  20. It does say "New" in the listing title.
  21. Rumor has it there is going to be magazine coverage this year from one of the other model magazines .
  22. The Kit: Nissan ER34 25GT Turbo from Aoshima The Paint: Nissan Sparkling Silver from Scalefinishes Not a great kit, fit issues, the bumper didnt fit right, the side windows dont fit very well, and the biggie, the interior door panels are way to tall and wont let the body sit correctly on the chassis, a good part of the bottom needs to removed.
