Decal Solution Residue
martinfan5 replied to Dougboy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I can confirm that the heat is not the problem, I use both Tamiya Mark Fit and Mark Fit Strong and Mr Hobby and I have the same issues and I NEVER use heat. One thing to try is wipe the standing solution away, cover the decal, let it sit for a minutes, and then carefully wipe away, don't leave any standing solution to dry . -

Rigth, CHP used the Federal Signal Twinsonic light during that era not the Federal Signal AeroDynic that was made for the TJ Hooker/DOH/Joker Goon/GPD version( and GPD in the first Batman movie used the Twinsonic bar ) . The lightbar in that Force 440 kit is very close to the Twinsonic, maybe we will get lucky and they will swap out the lightbars, maybe we should start a email campaign. The slick top CHP units from that time had three lights in the rear window, Red/Amber on the left and Blue on the right, and the drivers side spotlight was Red. My guess, if anything, maybe it will be the new set of wheels from the Dodge kit.

Alright then, one guess down.

Its a guess as to why the bottom section was cut off to help make them fit.

But they are not the same size, here is a better photo of both sheets, and its very clear the EU sheet is bigger , I overlapped the US sheet over the EU
-
The one possible for the lack of decals on for the US boxed version is to make the sheet smaller for better fit in the US box( that is the only thing I can currently come up with)

Revell US/Germany were one company since 2012 when Hobbico purchased Revell AG.

Chinese tariff war and models
martinfan5 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You think American workers are going to work for the same wages that the Chinese workers are paid?, I understand there would not be a tariff, US companies off shoring production because its so much to cheaper then doing it in the US , so you bring that all back here and their cost of doing business goes up. So again , my question, would the increase in cost of doing business in the US be higher or lower than a 25% tariff?
