martinfan5 replied to chuckyr's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I agree 100% , we need , or I should say , it would be nice to get some new modern tractors . -
I can't recall who did it, but one of the resin casters made a resin abmo top to fit the vans, but I just simply can not recall who it was , and Google isnt helping either other then a few photos from it being listed on a "whats it worth" website.

Something New At Hobby Lobby
martinfan5 replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Its neat little kit, I highly recommend getting, I had fun building mine. I dont know why you guys are all shocked that HL has it, its been reboxed for the US, and its a part of the line of kits from Revell that HL sells. -
Finally getting around to building mine, been feeling a bit left out seeing everyone else build one, so lets get to it. Unlike everyone else, I am going to be using the Ford GT Le Mans paint set from Scalefinishes The engine, Metalizer Aluminum on the block and Metalizer Magnesium on the trans housing, along with some colors on the other bits. And getting started on the chassis/interior, the chassis and interior were first primered with Mr Surfacer Black and then coated with Testor's Graphite aka poors mans carbon fiber And the body, it has been painted, you know, very easy paint job to do, the only hard part is masking off the rear section on the sides, its very tight back there.

Ford to End Ford GT Racing Program
martinfan5 replied to Miatatom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One is a SUV and one is a CUV/crossover , so no, they are not cars like a the Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-Max, Mustang and Taurus , those are what we consider "cars". Like I said, the only "car" Ford is going to be making in the future is the Mustang, they will still be making trucks/SUV/CUV/Crossovers. -

Ford to End Ford GT Racing Program

Agreed, I mean, for that, Ford would need to, oh, maybe continue making cars beside just the Mustang. -
Ford to End Ford GT Racing Program
martinfan5 replied to Miatatom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
When Ford announced the start of this program they said it would only last till the end 2019, so this isnt a surprise to everyone involved. -
Color me excited for sure.

Oh you are so correct Steve, there is always room for improvement, and its such huge boast when you start to see the improvements you are making, makes you feel good and kind of gives that extra push to keep striving for the next level. -

And Chuck here brings up a valid point, without that "whining" I bet those things would of never been addressed , so "whining" as some want to call it actually does something good from time to time. I think many are confusing honest constructive criticism and feedback with whining ( maybe not here, there is a good amount of whining in this one, so bad example) but, we all have to right to give honest constructive criticism of models kits and the companies, as long as it done in a respectful manner, and that seems to be lost today. But then you have people getting attacked when they do give honest constructive criticism of the kits or Rond2/Revell/Moebius( that doesn't happen when it comes to Japan companies I notice) because a large percentage of builders take any forum criticism as a personal attacks. Carry on.
