  1. Its a Revell kit released a few years back.
  2. One you dont see very often, nice work
  3. There is this method, which is using a color close what the body is paint, like what has already been mentioned in this thread by Joe http://italianhorses.net/Tutorials/Panelines/panels.htm
  4. Yep, you really see the purple when you say use alcohol to remove it, the cloth or whatever you used will be purple
  5. Yes, my latest completed that is in the under glass section I used those on it. I scribe the panel lines to get them a little bit deeper, than I am use the marker , then primer and paint.
  6. Nice to see a positive thread for Jameston and Scalefinishes for a change, ive been dealing with him for at least four years now and he has always done me right, and yes, he has had bit of a bad run as of late with getting orders out and responding to emails in a timely manner and I dont blame people for feeling like they do. While pretty much every third party vendor is doing this on the side, there comes a point when having a life outside of the hobby is no longer a valid excuse and once you take money in exchange for goods or services, it's no longer a hobby and things need to be done in a timely manner or you stop what you are doing till you can provide your products or service in a timely manner or make you sure communicate with your customers and not ignore them, that goes for every vendor, not just Scalefinishes. But on the positive side, he is taking steps to correct the issues, he took full responsibility for everything and is trying to turn things around , and I will continue to support him . *full disclosure, he is a sponsor for my Youtube channel
  7. 1/8th?, what about 1/24th scale or 1/25th scale ?
  8. Alan, thank you , and yes, they are more than awful, but we cant use those words here I was very close to doing a wheel swap.
  9. You cant go wrong with Powersilde decals from Mikes.
  10. That seems like decent enough revenues for a couple of years, better that I thought.
  11. Here we go, new tool kit from Hasegawa Models, straight forward build , no issues that make you wan to throw into a wall, painted with Tamiya Bright Red from the can and some polishing took place. The red pops in person, was not able to capture that with the DSLR but I am noob so there is that too. I think I could of done a better job on it, it doenst meet my current level .
  12. Tim, that may fix some things, but the biggest problem is a aging fan base and not being able to tap into the younger generation, which doesnt really care that much for racing or cars , they see the as a way to get from A to B, nothing more, nothing less. My point there are so many pieces to this puzzle that there isnt a one size stop all, and to be honest, NASCAR is never going to be back to where it was, and you know, that isnt a bad thing in all honestly I would love to see NASCAR go back to be a niche sport, that is when it was the best, but that is my opinion of course. NASCAR is recumbently stuck
  13. Then why did Larry and Deb Reitz who owned D&L Hobbies ,which you worked for getting as you put it "HMS contracts" get sued for making decals without permission, or as you put it "contracts" ? I will bet Jimmie will be driving for HMS in 2019.
  14. All Michaels are a joke, the one by me hasnt restock the basic Testor's jar paints since last year, it waste my time to even think about going there for even the basic modeling supplies.
  15. I hoard parts in the forms of kits
  16. All things trim done, and it was a pain, the trim lines around the windows are very faint , and rattle canning it didnt help
  17. I would wait then to get a kit, this is the first or probably a few different versions , we should have an idea of what the next version will be in May at the Shizuoka Hobby show . If they follow the pattern they did with the Jimny, they are going to do different years , and the way the kit was tooled, it looks like they are going to be doing different years with this one too.
  18. Thank you Casey
  19. I was not implying you were stupid, forgive me if thats how it came off, but it is a new car, it has new panels on it, so that makes it new does it not?, but yes , in the world of NASCAR , the Camaro is a new car, like it or not.
  20. I agree, they are going after #8 , its been stated that is their goal.
  21. FCA is a weird one right now, and there are so many rumors going on , some involving RCR, I know that FCA wanted to return to NASCAR but the hold is up finding a team that can be their anchor team, one that can also do the engine program. The one rumor is they will make a announcement this year for a 2019 return, another is they are waiting to see what Ford does for 2019, that would hold them up.
