This is excites me more than something from the rose colored glasses era, so yeah.
Yes, yes it is, I am very excited for this one, I see you got me beat on the thread, mine is in transit
I was fully aware of all this, but thank you anyways , this should be helpful to other people that may not.
I personally dont use automotive primers because they are too hot for the Japanese plastic, its either Tamiya or Mr Hobby primers for me.
Ive had good luck with the Metalizer sealer from Testors, I LOVE the Metalizer line, but yes,if you look at the Metalizer paints wrong and it will rub itself off.
Basic silver paint can be used to cover red or orange plastic , you can easily air brush a light enough coat that will cover the plastic but thin enough not to build up over any body details like scripts.
I wonder if using the Metalizers sealer would stop the issues you are having.
Its very humorous, kits that no one really wanted are all of the sudden a hot commodity when the get put on clearance, and all the sudden, I need that kit that now.
If you wanted to stick with hobby products, Tamiya and Mr Hobby both have primers to fill your needs, both offer their products in cans and jars for A/B.
Duplicolor has a high build primer and regular primers that work really good.
I get what you are saying, but they are marketing these kits to guys that built them as kids or young adults, so they figure that a majority of the buyers are gonna know whats included with the kit, so they are focusing on the rose color glasses with the box art instead.
I am not sure they are going to be making any changes anytime soon.
