According to the internet, Ford is still importing the Transit Connect as passengers vans and doing the conversions in the US, but is paying the 25% import tax on them. How factual that is, I dont know. The Ford Transit( full size van) is built in two locations in the world, one of them is in Claycomo, Missouri, U.S. (Kansas City Assembly)

You are spot on Erik, its just like the Probox from Aoshima, the hood opens but there is no engine, that is done so they can back date the body, plus the entire front clip being separate

I decided that 25 years after release, I wanted to build a civilian version out of it( dont know how many I built as PPV's in the 90's) it also came with a CHP/LAPD decal sheet

That tractor was shown last year at the Toy Fair, but then never made it out because of the financial issues later on, you are correct, the only new tooling is the Estafette vans that got put on hiatus.
