The whole Cali wildfire thing is pretty hard to believe.

I haven't heard anything regarding sentencing yet, just that he pleaded guilty. That saves the taxpayers untold dollars proving that he did it. He could still get time in federal prison and a pretty hefty fine. I was surprised to see how old he is. I (wrongfully) assumed he was some millennial looking for YouTube, X, FakeBook, etc. views. -

One of the most amazing dog poo-related things I have witnessed was in the neighborhood park. The human bagged a sizable Golden Retriever exhaust, tied the bag and handed it back to the dog. The owner pointed to the nearest trashcan, and the dog trotted over and disposed of the bag. I wish they were all trained to do that. Humans AND dogs, LOL.

This arrived today from FleaPay. Sealed inside except for the glass and tires. Miraculously they didn't find each other in the box. It has been raining here and the shipping box was soggy to the point of almost coming apart when the post office delivered it, but the kit box was dry. I think $19.99 plus shipping was a deal. All the talk on here of the old Monogram Fords made me want one.

"Remember the Alamo", they said, but I would rather remember the a la mode.

It appeared to me that the guy who verified mine was also checking to make sure the VIN was the same in all three places.

Ours was a 2006 with ~26k miles in 2013. Guy looked at the VIN on the engine, the door decal, and the VIN on the dash and signed me off in about 5 minutes. The person that issued the plates in step 3 had about a room temperature IQ and didn't understand that it was a transfer from parent to child + child's spouse and tried to charge me like we had purchased the car.

They will need to do a VIN verification on any vehicle brought in from out of state. Not a big deal, but it is an extra step in the process. It was waiting in line three times when I registered the M.I.L.'s Camry in our name. Once for paperwork, outside to a covered area with the car for the VIN verification, then back in line to get the plates/registration. In theory, they will want to collect the Oregon plate, so bring tools. They may give you a pass on that part, I don't know.

My 1979 California house is like that. Outside outlets need to be on a GFI circuit.

I assume that is Canadian since that is where the listing is from. That would be about $35 USD.

My 1961 Plymouth story? The mom of one of one of my elementary school classmates drove a robin's eggs blue 4-door that was probably a Savoy, maybe a Belvedere. It was really plain. By 1968-69, if there was a school field trip, none of the guys (and hardly any of the girls) would ride in that car. It was that fugly, nobody wanted to be seen in it. I think she finally gave up volunteering to drive.
