  1. This is what I do (Google Photos). I take a picture with my phone, and it appears in Google Photos within a few minutes. Download it to the PC, and add it to the post.
  2. A 1968 Mustang deluxe interior is a poor choice for a first attempt at super-detailing IMHO. Too much going on, too many finishes.
  3. I placed an order this week thinking that you wouldn't get to it until you returned, but you already filled it and created a shipping label. That was unexpected!
  4. And now we have cold air!
  5. I already have a butane torch. After a short detour down a dirt road when I discovered that butane isn't available just everywhere in California anymore, I went through four heat/soak cycles and finally extracted the bugger using a boxend on the hex behind it and pliers on the fitting itself. I installed the new service valve (with the correct 8-side socket) last night and drew a vacuum. I am going to try to charge it tonight if I have time. Now that I have the old valve out, it looks like some type of steel, not aluminum.
  6. Yes, there is getting to be more and more "last mile" Amazon deliveries around here using passenger cars/SUVs. They are typically older (70s) folks in Prius or RAV4 Hybrids but not always.
  7. I don't even particularly like Z4s, but now you guys have me wanting this kit. This forum is full of bad influencers.
  8. Those are available all over the world as the Kia Carens. Someone probably makes a diecast somewhere.
  9. I will definitely be getting the Porter II when it becomes available. It is all kinds of cool. My LHS really doesn't carry Academy, so I will have to find it elsewhere.
  10. Do any of you 1:1 McAnnical types have a favorite penetrating oil for aluminum on aluminum? I have tried PB Blaster a couple of times with no luck so far. I am trying to get the high side A/C service valve off of the line so I can replace the valve (1994 S-10). This is a pretty clean "local" truck. The neighbor two doors over was the original owner. The offending item is one of the early R-134a fittings with the rubber seal inside. I have the correct 8-sided socket, but not surprisingly I am starting to round off the fitting. The high side line is NLA from anyone that I can find, and it looks like a bear to get it disconnected from the condensor without dismantling a bunch of things.
  11. While I would never spend $1k to buy and build a model that jumpstarted my addiction hobby, I would hardly notice the missing money today versus the $2.00 I spent from my lawn mowing money for the one I bought in 1969.
  12. Got my Charger and Bel Air today, but I haven't opened the box yet. I think a little detailing would make these things pop, maybe even some PE emblems if they are close to what is made for the plastic kits. I haven't seen the Nova on eBay, and the Brazilian Mavericks are a bit spendy for me.
  13. That is a completed auction. It sold for $1k. Same seller has a '69 SuperHemi for $2500 BIN.
  14. This was the first 1/25th scale glue kit that I paid for and built by myself. I have had a saved search on FleaPay for a while in case I can snag another one for not TOOO much dinero. Got this alert earlier today. Wow. I don't want one that much.
  15. Back to the point of this thread, I did (thanks to Jim) snag one of the VW Beetles. Overstock Hobbies does seem to have some amazing deals through Amazon if you get there quick enough.
  16. Reimagined C6. I really like the one in your pic. https://www.crcoachworks.com/1961-62-crc-retro-corvette
  17. I would be in for a '59 Coronet 2-door to build Broderick Crawford's car. I know that I could find and convert a Custom Royal kit, but that is actually a fair amount of work.
  18. This is a nice kit, I have one!
  19. Little Miss Sunshine may have been his finest work.
  20. Absolutely beautiful boat with "tasteful mods", LOL.
  21. True, but the pictured engine on the box doesn't really look like either an FE or a 385. This one should probably just have the hood glued shut is you want an accurate stock version. Fun fact: Ford used the 428 P.I. through the 1970 model year in Ford and Mercury police package cars, even though the civilian versions were 429s.
  22. Never had this kit, but I think the stock engine is a "not fish nor fowl" AMT fantasy. The new box says 428, but the pictured exhaust manifolds are not FE. I don't recall what the original annual claimed it to be.
  23. Stumbled across this on YouTube.
  24. Can't believe it has been 10 years. This tragedy happened less than three weeks after the last time I drove through there. The MIL lived in Prescott until she couldn't be by herself any longer. We/I usually drove through here on the way to I-10. I was shocked to hear about the fire and the deaths. (P.S.: Your date is wrong in the body of your post)
