  1. "I see the new Oldsmobiles are in early this year" is a line from The Blues Brothers movie.
  2. Their first model car kit and a lifetime subscription to MCM.
  3. For those of you on Instagram, he is there. https://www.instagram.com/ay_chaychay/ He is definitely a car guy and is part of a LeMons team. https://www.round2corp.com/johnny-lightning-goes-lemons-24-hours-of-lemons/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=johnny-lightning-goes-lemons-24-hours-of-lemons
  4. David, I have a set of the Cady 283 decals that I would gladly send you if you PM me your info. I will never use them.
  5. 225/60-14 was the factory tire size.
  6. This thread is getting funny, but I remember this sticker in the glovebox of my '68 Mustang. My '68 Cougar probably had a similar one, but I don't remember.
  7. Thanks Bill. No listed ingredients (proprietary) on the MSDS either. I am looking for something economical for the rare times I spray water-based acrylic, and this looks like it may do the trick.
  8. I can't read the label. What are the listed ingredients?
  9. Me three, in the mid 70s in high school. We always asked if the customer wanted the windows done or the oil checked. Station was in a 1950s neighborhood with original owners for a major part. Many of them had their last "new" car still in service. Lots of oddball 1960s stuff, but the weirdest one I remember was a 1966-ish Chrysler Newport 2-door whos old lady owner finally asked to have the oil checked. I popped the hood and was amazed to see no power steering, no power brake booster, and the weird levers sticking out of the steering column indicating a 3-on-the-tree. Also had a customer who was the widow of a CHP officer that drove a 69 Monaco wagon with a 440 Magnum. Had most of the options I remember including the weird Cyclops Eye driving light thing.
  10. I have successfully avoided this issue for my entire 56-year model building timeline by never buying or building a '63 (or '62) Impala ? But since you are now stripping, how about spraying the tail with your choice of silver, masking, then shooting the red? Your mask lines don't need to be perfect if you are using BMF on the outer trim anyway.
  11. I have never tried it, but I am sure someone here has and will pipe in soon.
  12. I would use Tamiya clear over the Tamiya flat.
  13. spurting blood everywhere
  14. X-Acto knife gravity
  15. "Suckers" were a type of fish that seemed to be all I could hook in the American River as a kid, but their official name was Catostomidae.
  16. I used some 2X yesterday on a piece of styrofoam board and it dissolved it. On the other hand, their aluminum is one of my favorites. Who knows?
  17. Access to a restroom?
  18. David, if it is an Android phone, Google knows where it is. There is a "Find my device" utility you can use from any other device if you are signed into your Google account. I would expect that iPhones are similar, but I am not familiar with them. Of course, if it is buried in a snowbank that won't be helpful.
  19. A quick look on the internet indicated that the 250 wasn't available after 1973 in the Torino.
  20. Can you share where you can get these kits?
  21. I enjoyed the forensics of the fake 'cuda, but the whole thing with Allysia was creepy and cringeworthy to me. First the comment about the "mom jeans", then the whole 'cuda thing looked like he was testing her training. And I don't want to start a flame war about this. I tried to tune out his baloney and absorb what what was being said about the car which was good information.
  22. Bought some windshield wipers for the Mazda3 on fleabay 3 years ago. They were 1/4 the price of the OEM ones from the dealership and were in Mazda packages. No idea if they are legit or counterfeit, but they are still on the car and work better than the factory ones or the ones I bent over for at the dealership. Sometimes you win..... And yes, I prefer to use OEM wipers on our cars (2016 and 2018) because they seem to work better and you don't introduce wind noise with sketchy adaptors and stuff. The S10 gets parts store wipers 'cause it don't matter.
  23. LOL, we were just discussing this car on the forum not long ago. That helped me remember "Starlift" was the name of the hardtop and made the search easier.
  24. I think that the obvious answer (to me anyway) is that the original annual had them and they were shown on the box art.
