I don't like drinking eggnog either, but the unused (and some purpose-bought) gets used around here for eggnog quickbreads of different types.

"DMV.CA.GOV" has appeared on the bottom of that style plate for quite a few years now. No worries, I can print my own and usually do. My biggest gripe is when model companies put the renewal stickers on both CA plates. That said, I was a little annoyed with the swirls, etc. in the example that Chris showed. Dear Revell: Mold these bodies in white so experienced modelers can choose our color, or do a better job of molding colors without swirls so a first-time modeler can throw one of these together without it looking like a cheap toy. Your choice. And I too hate the wheels, but that is what Audi is putting on the cars with the ceramic brake package. Yeah, I think I will get one.

His character's name in The Blob was Steve Andrews.

I figure that it was probably making its way to TV around the time Mom was pregnant with me. I often wonder if I was named after McQueen's character. I can picture Mom and Dad in the living room and my mom saying, " Steve Andrews, I like that."

It looked to me that it was a really rough used (up) car when it was in the movie.

I do too, but I wish he had vacuum advance on some of them.

Interesting that it was filmed around Calistoga and they used Baylands / Fremont Raceway. Really bad movie other than the time machine ride backwards. Wonder if the Willys is still around?

Neither. That's what another colleague with a PowderSmoke calls it.

My boss has a 2020 PowerBoost Platinum that replaced a 2019 EgoBoost. He likes it and has so far resisted selling it even though he could in a heartbeat.

Got a jury summons that would have conflicted with performance reviews at work and vacation, so I put it off until the week of 10/31. Got my updated summons today and I am in group 46 of 50. I highly doubt that my group will be called for service. Don't get me wrong, I have served on juries before and the last one was fascinating. I just don't have time right now for that.

"Going" is what some old people look forward to the day after they take Ex-Lax.

Revell Lincoln LSC Pro Street reissue
Rodent replied to Justin Porter's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
A few previous lives ago, I was a service advisor at a Ford dealership in an area that also had a Lincoln-Mercury dealership. One afternoon, one of these things clattered into the service drive and a miniature Angela Lansbury (RIP) popped out. She had a list of issues, but wondered if we could work on her car. It wasn't anything serious that would require the special tools that Ford made Lincoln dealers buy but we didn't have. I wrote her up and that visit (IIRC) cost her nearly $1k (1992 money), but it was necessary stuff. It needed an injector pump and some other repairs. She had sworn off of the local Lincoln dealership for "Ripping her off". I made some decent commissions from what she spent and was happy that she was happy with our service. She kept returning and agreed to whatever we told her it needed. I drove her car a few times and frankly didn't understand why Ford built these things other than to (possibly) steal sales from BMW and MBZ. I don't think it worked. I suspect that most of these around here wound up at the junkyard when the 4HP22 ZF transmission died. Drove more than a few of the 5.0 versions as well. Thought it was a really nice car that really should have had a Thunderbird body instead. -
What do I know or care about the model name of what I drive? I drive a "3". LOL (But I have owned several Mustangs)

I stick my blood pressure pill up my nose every morning. No clue why I still have high blood pressure that is now complicated by having a stuffy nose......

Snitch and get stitches or worse.

Since we are guys and like power tools, my boss has one of the meat shredding attachments that goes in a drill. I was part of a small team that made lunch for about 70 colleagues a few years ago, and I used it. Major timesaver!

New Mustang Mach E

Sounds like a laxative. -
New Mustang Mach E

I probably wouldn't buy one myself, but kitting more modern subjects sounds like a good way to interest younger folks in the hobby. I don't know too many 13 year olds that get weak in the knees over a 29 Model A or a 65 Belvedere. -
Removing fabric heavily glued on?
Rodent replied to Scott8950's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you can get most of the fabric off, I think it's time for a "spray-in bedliner", LOL. -
I doubt that I have watched this movie since around the time it was making the rounds on TV. I never realized that it was filmed in the Central Valley. Most of these towns are still Nothingvales, but Tracy has really exploded over the years. It is just over the Altamont Pass from Sillycone Valley.

Folks got me a 64 Galaxie Craftsman and a 49 Ford when I had my tonsils out c.1967. I handled the Galaxie OK, and Dad helped with the 49. Or I helped Dad, IDK. I built miscellaneous small scale planes and ships, and some small scale cars. First 1/25 glue kit I did by myself was the MPC Mr. Norm Charger funny car. Dad helped with the paint because Mom was SURE I was going to spray paint my face instead of the car.

It was mentioned a while back on this site that Kenny passed away. He did a custom sheet for me, and they turned out great. R.I.P.

1968 Mustang California Special
Rodent replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
GT/CSs weren't GTs. If the SS wheel was ordered on a GT/CS, it would have had a plain cap. That said, if it was equipped with the 302-4V or 390, it could have been ordered with the GT equipment group and would have had the GT center caps. I have heard that three 428 CJ GT/CSs were built and they would have had the GT caps as well. I am slightly older than you are, and I grew up ~100 miles from the plant where these cars were built. They were pretty common when I was a kid and started appearing in the wrecking yards in the late 1970s. I am by no means an expert, but the overwhelming number of these cars I saw were 289-2V automatics with manual drums and low option content (AM radio, standard interior, no A/C, etc.) They were definitely available other ways, but I suspect that hardly any of the dealers ordered them as performance or luxury-oriented cars unless a customer special ordered one that way.
