  2. Scott, have you tried printing any of the interiors?
  3. I have one in a case under my monitor. It is very nice for the price (even new) and is a must for fans of old CHP cars or Broderick Crawford. I keep meaning to "Fu" it with some BMF, black paint on the wheel rims, and a whip antenna, but haven't gone there yet.
  4. Is Dale Horner still doing chrome? His son left the company I work for, so I no longer have "inside information".
  5. I am thinking that narrowing the wheels a bit to tuck them under the fenders and maybe using some of Fireball's Radial T/As might help this kit a lot.
  6. Spotted in a Vermont restroom a few years ago:
  7. Valvecover shape is closer that the later ones. I don't know what transmission the 1:1 used, so that may have to come from something else. Remember Mr. Guthmiller's quest for the correct transmission for his Grand Prix?
  8. I was thinking that the 303 from the Revell '50 may be the closest, but any of them will need updating / backdating.
  9. No worries, I have a co-worker who calls the current large Ford van "Transient". I don't think she knows any better.....?
  10. You know that Sprinters disappeared from Dodge dealers when Chrysler and Daimler "divorced", right? Their van now is the RAM Promaster which is a Fiat Ducato. Current Sprinters are only sold through Mercedes-Benz, although Freightliner sold them for a while as well. My friends are making a decent living building out Sprinter "lifestyle vans" and they are quite nice and get decent highway fuel economy.
  11. Good stuff, but they missed the original selling price of the Henry J by a couple grand.
  12. "Trade" can also be "I have XXXX, would trade for YZYZ".
  13. Yup, I watched that. Just wondering if anyone had comments about the kit or if they were going to buy it. It's nice to see it again, at least the vintage NASCAR peeps can use the body.
  14. I don't think we have discussed the 1964 Marauder yet in this thread. Maybe I missed it?
  15. Aircraft canopy glue, Elmer's White glue, Mod-Podge, whatever of those things you can get in Japan. They are all basically a water-based clear drying glue. They won't fog and they will wipe off if you get some on the glass.
  16. A close friend was on "the list" for a kidney for about five years with no luck. They were considering a (temporary) move to a state with no helmet law to "speed" things up a bit. Didn't happen, but he did get a kidney from the East Coast at the beginning of the really ugly part of COVID in early April 2020. He looks great and feels great. No, the donor didn't die of COVID or on a motorcycle. A couple of weeks ago I was blessed to get to spend some time with him AND our mutual friend who received a heart transplant some years ago. Really makes you forget about the petty stuff like the price of kits. These two mid-late 50 year old guys are still above ground due to someone else not being above ground.
  17. A lot of the newer medical buildings are doing that around here. It's a win-win, solar to help power the building and shady parking spaces for the tenants and patrons.
  18. Also remember that the renewal stickers are only on the rear plate. One of my pet peeves is when model companies make California plate decals that are identical.
  19. Here is a '72, so I don't know.
  20. 442 doesn't use that rocket emblem.
  21. Back to the car: Do you think Jay Leno was "worthy" of being invited to the auction? It will be interesting to know who the buyer is.
  22. Or a 200 sq ft studio apartment in NYC with a shared bath.
  23. This is what it would cost to register it in my county in California. I did find a lucrative loophole that said that the VLF fee is zero if a vehicle is registered as a historic vehicle / horseless carriage. 1955 qualifies for that, so that's an immediate savings of $923,001. :-)
