  1. ABC 7 says the medical examiner confirmed that she fell down the stairs and that was the cause of death. That report hasn't reached "this coast" yet.
  2. More time to contemplate the 6271 unbuilt kits in your stash.
  3. I don't know about New Yawk, but it is legal to drive farm equipment on the road in California if you follow a few basic rules. It has been too long and I have forgotten what type it was, but there was a restored oldie like your friend's close by here. You could occasionally spot it in the Mc Donald's drive-through line.
  4. Michael's used to carry it, but I haven't been inside a Michael's store for a couple of years.
  5. It's a Steve Magnate channel on Odor Trend TV. Maybe Odor Trend TV has an app as well, IDK. Magnate is an interesting guy who loves lives and breathes cars and is also one of us (modeler).
  6. I assume that you email customerservice@moebiusmodels.com
  7. Late is when you work successfully while everyone else left early to coach the kids' futbol game.
  8. I have a very nice RC-centric shop that carries a lot of models, styrene, and paint (RC Country Hobbies) not too far away and another "old-school" shop (Viking Hobbies) that has been in business forever. Their primary focus isn't cars, but they have some. I just visited a few weeks ago for the first time in probably 35 years. Plus lots of Hobby Lobbys scattered all over town. And there is Burbank's House of Hobbies that has an awesome online store and I usually get stuff from them within two days of shipment.
  9. I was just a little bit sad to see on the forum that Barry Fadden had a "birthday" not long ago. Some of my family refers to that as a "birth anniversary" on their calendars.
  10. Thanks to Jesse for this pic early in the thread. I respectfully bow my head and apologize for what I said earlier in the thread regarding these wheelcovers after seeing the window sticker. I am fairly knowledgeable about 1965-70 Mustangs and somewhat knowledgeable of the 71-73 generation, but was unaware that these were available in the 15" size necessary for the Boss 351. I would like to see the Marti report for the scanned car to see how many cars had this wheel cover option. My guess is that not many were produced. That said, two comments: 1. Glad that Revell purposely or accidentally scanned a car with the deluxe interior that could lead to future Mach 1 variants. 2. I hope they include a set of Magnum 500s in the Boss 351 kit.
  11. I don't know what your favorite flavor is, but I use Castrol Edge synthetic in all three vehicles. A five-quart jug is still only about $28 at WalMart. That seems like about $10 cheaper than anywhere else around here that carries it.
  12. Went through the same thing with the mother in law around 10 years ago. Mild stroke, then dementia, then lung cancer that metastasized rapidly. It's sad when you want to help, but you really can't do anything except to see that their basic needs are met.
  13. Any creature that eats poop is not welcome in a shopping cart that may be holding my lettuce 20 minutes later. That includes children.
  14. Got mine today, Sacramento suburb. This is the first issue of my subscription.
  15. I don't want to seem like another old man shouting at clouds, but this kit does not mean $46.95 to me. If Revell does a nice job on the '71 Mustang, I will buy one at that $50 price point. If it has glaring errors, I will buy zero. At 62, I have more than enough in the stash to last me until i turn 160 or so.
  16. My cousin received a new L-48 4-speed pace car replica for his High School graduation present from Mommy and Daddy. It was pretty used up (mechanically) 10 years and 60k miles later. He sold it for the princely sum of $2500. I could cobble together a replica of his car and thought of it many times when I see the convertible kit. His older sister received a slanty Barracuda convertible a year earlier for her present. Guess that shows favoritism between the kids, LOL.
  17. They have been reissuing it fairly frequently since 1964 or so. One will find you.
  18. I don't build the style of models that most of Ed's parts are for, but I have his AMT '53 Ford pickup interior "enhancement" parts and they are amazing! I wish I had a few extra hands so I could give him more than two thumbs up! And now I just noticed that I said pretty much the same thing last October, LOL. It still holds true!
  19. Not too far from me. There was a Go Fund Me set up to reimburse the station owner, but they refused the money.
  20. I vote Super Sport. I think the Heavy Chevy had standard hood pins, but not 100% certain.
  21. E85 is $4.19/gallon at the station I pass almost every day. Even with the hit in fuel economy, that seems like a deal vs. $6.59 for regular. You never used to see anyone at the E85 pump, but now there is typically 4-5 cars waiting for their single pump. Ford/GM trucks, various Chryslers, etc. Guess those folks know what the "Flex Fuel" badge on the back means. ?
