  1. While I would never spend $1k to buy and build a model that jumpstarted my addiction hobby, I would hardly notice the missing money today versus the $2.00 I spent from my lawn mowing money for the one I bought in 1969.
  2. Got my Charger and Bel Air today, but I haven't opened the box yet. I think a little detailing would make these things pop, maybe even some PE emblems if they are close to what is made for the plastic kits. I haven't seen the Nova on eBay, and the Brazilian Mavericks are a bit spendy for me.
  3. That is a completed auction. It sold for $1k. Same seller has a '69 SuperHemi for $2500 BIN.
  4. This was the first 1/25th scale glue kit that I paid for and built by myself. I have had a saved search on FleaPay for a while in case I can snag another one for not TOOO much dinero. Got this alert earlier today. Wow. I don't want one that much.
  5. Back to the point of this thread, I did (thanks to Jim) snag one of the VW Beetles. Overstock Hobbies does seem to have some amazing deals through Amazon if you get there quick enough.
  6. Reimagined C6. I really like the one in your pic. https://www.crcoachworks.com/1961-62-crc-retro-corvette
  7. I would be in for a '59 Coronet 2-door to build Broderick Crawford's car. I know that I could find and convert a Custom Royal kit, but that is actually a fair amount of work.
  8. This is a nice kit, I have one!
  9. Little Miss Sunshine may have been his finest work.
  10. Absolutely beautiful boat with "tasteful mods", LOL.
  11. True, but the pictured engine on the box doesn't really look like either an FE or a 385. This one should probably just have the hood glued shut is you want an accurate stock version. Fun fact: Ford used the 428 P.I. through the 1970 model year in Ford and Mercury police package cars, even though the civilian versions were 429s.
  12. Never had this kit, but I think the stock engine is a "not fish nor fowl" AMT fantasy. The new box says 428, but the pictured exhaust manifolds are not FE. I don't recall what the original annual claimed it to be.
  13. Stumbled across this on YouTube.
  14. Can't believe it has been 10 years. This tragedy happened less than three weeks after the last time I drove through there. The MIL lived in Prescott until she couldn't be by herself any longer. We/I usually drove through here on the way to I-10. I was shocked to hear about the fire and the deaths. (P.S.: Your date is wrong in the body of your post)
  15. Lifetime is a cable network whose shows generally really suck.
  16. I saw the movie for free at the local premier. I really don't remember the details clearly, but I think these were give-aways. IIRC, there were only a few at the showing and I didn't get one. Hence this warning....
  17. They are bad influences, just like the kids that our moms wouldn't let us play with.
  18. So, while we constantly bash "endless rebleating", has anyone confirmed that photo is real, and if so, is that an actual structural part of the Titan submersible? Looks like a fake carbon fiber wall in someone's mom's basement or a bad photoshop to me. I did a Google find for the photo, and all I found it on was antisocial non-media sites.
  19. So is the TS-7 Racing White. Much creamier than the TS-26. It's also a decent match for 1980s Ford truck Colonial White.
  20. This is my final answer:
  21. That's a 66 Fairlane upholstery pattern.
  22. Racing white(TS-7). It's also a pretty good match for Ford Wimbledon White.
  23. Comet / Cyclone? That is a very unusual console. I had a 1:1 67 Fairlane GTA a long time ago. Was there a 66 Fairlane annual or promo, other than the one from the 1980s?
  24. AMT '67 Fairlane annual? Edit: the upholstery pattern matches 1966.
