  1. Scale and maker?
  2. I used to buy and sell with Jim. I am trying to rattle his last name out of my brain, and I think it is Atkins? Adkins? Jim and Sherrie (sp)? I don't think he is who the OP is looking for.
  3. A "normal" modern U. S., Canada, or Mexico plate is 12" w x 6" h. Using the scale in Word to make your plate 1/2" wide is pretty much on the money for 1/24 or 1/25 scale.
  4. Said model room, not motel room, LOL.
  5. I see them in the 1966 factory brochure, but I don't remember seeing them in 1:1. Interesting. The 66 Galaxie covers that NASCAR Mike posted are what I remember.
  6. Old Guy Story (not as old as Bill) Worked at a Shell Station off and on 1976-79. If someone wanted to use a Shell credit card and it went over $25, you had to call for an authorization. On the phone. Nobody wanted to wait on the squarebody Blazer/Jimmy customers.
  7. Thanks Snake, we do what we can for our Brothers in Styrene. I hope it works out for you. Not sure what you are trying to do or where you want to enjoy the tablet, but a ~30 ish inch tv with a Roku in your model room may serve your needs better than a tablet.
  8. I have the 1/43 Chevelle and Torino. They are really nice little kits and would probably sell OK if the molds are still around. If they weren't $30.
  9. I mocked up fitting a Coyote in an AMT '57 Ford, and it wasn't going to work. The Coyote is low and wide (DOHC). When the engine was in about the right place in the frame, the exhaust ports were about resting on the upper a-arms. As Bill says, your best bet is another front frame/suspension.
  10. No worries! I don't mean to treat you like a dummy, but you have made it clear that you don't have a smart phone and I am ASSuming that you may not be familiar with Google Play. Does your TV provider have an app? That is really what I was thinking. I have Xfinity/Comcast and I can watch mobile most of the stuff I can stream at home. Not that I ever do, LOL.
  11. Google Play Store
  12. Saw on eBay this morning that Paul has a 4-door Sport Sedan resin builtup for sale. Says that he will soon be offering the kits as well.
  13. You may have to download your cable provider's app and sign in as you.
  14. This is what Rock Auto shows for 1975 and 1976. Wagons were even weirder.
  15. This is what I remember. They were quite popular with the Class of 1976 in High School.
  16. California is what some refer to as a "petroleum island". There are no incoming pipelines from other states. Oil not pumped here comes in overland or by ship. That increases the cost of "raw materials". That is only part of it of course. As Alan says, we also always seem to "lose a refinery" at the worst possible time.
  17. Looks really nice John! I snagged one for the stash a while back because you can never have too much stash. The Hurst wheels are a nice touch. Really nice build. Some friends of my parents had a 66 GTO as the only new car they ever bought. Was probably Reef Turquoise, but wasn't well taken care of. Friends had a parting of the ways with the folks in 1997 or so because the friends were heavy smokers and Mom was on oxygen. The "M"s couldn't stop smoking long enough to get together with my folks and the four of them had a big blowout over it. The "M"s were still driving the GTO as their only car as late as 1999 as far as I know. Sorry for the tangent, but I always think of them when I see a 66 GTO and how cool it must have been to drive that to the grocery store. Good thing that their local grocery store was less than 1/2 mile away. Thinking that the GTO with the choke on probably got less than 3 MPG on that trip. Was a 4BBL A/T unfortunately.
  18. Ballpark, what would the file and materials cost to print something like this?
  19. No clue why the search on eBay isn't working. I found this by googling his seller name and it showed up on TopRatedSeller.com. I couldn't get it to work on the eBay site either.
  20. I don't think a '69 LT-1 is a thing.... Pretty sure they came out for the 1970 model year.
  21. https://www.ebay.com/sch/pontiacbanker/m.html
  22. Wasn't this discussed a while back (I didn't search) and the answer was that is was a great idea, but the forum doesn't yet support attachment of .stl files?
  23. Not red, but 2x aluminum, Tamiya metallic orange, a couple of light coats of Tamiya clear orange (which isn't super-shiny when dry), and TS-13. Should have dusted it before I took the pic, LOL. I did several spoon tests and the orange looked way better over the aluminum than anything else I tried.
