  1. Both of our daily drivers have blind spot alert/cross traffic warning. When you are the one backing out and can't see around the van/SUV it's a really nice feature. It can "see" oncoming traffic before you can.
  2. I hope you have found a good vet there. The M.I.L. had a string of different idiots in Prescott with her cats. One of the cats developed some type of aggressive cancer at about 6 years old. The estimate for treatment was in the thousands and the outlook wasn't good even with that. She decided to euthanize her. After it was over, the vet started giving her ## for not at least "trying" to save her.
  3. I don't generally build that type of stuff, but I bought the 53 Ford pickup interior from him. I was blown away by the quality of the parts and by the fact that he seems like a truly nice guy!
  4. When I bake, I weigh my flour and sugar. It makes a big difference with consistency, especially with weighing the flour. You might be surprised how "off" you can get using a measuring cup. Weighing paint may be overthinking things a bit unless you are painting the Queensborough Bridge.
  5. better than Polident
  6. Maybe you can find a 1:1 somewhere to guide your scratchbuilding...... ?
  7. I imagine that some of it would be the same. Chevrolet moved the compressor to the other side for '69 though. You might be closer to the Pontiac setup with the '68 El Camino parts.
  8. It has been $4.35-$4.50 for regular here for some time. Thankfully, I have been working from home since March 2020 so I am not driving much. One tank per month (10-11 gallons) is about all I use.
  9. A Centurion? Horrible mash-up between an F250-350 truck and a Bronco?
  10. And this is the only example I know of the 69-up setup that has the A6 compressor on the driver's side, driven off the P/S pump. This could be adapted to numerous 69-up Chevelles, Impalas, and pickups.
  11. Forgot that the "new-tool" AMT '62 Thunderbird has A/C. I think that is the only time a Tecumseh/York style compressor has been done in styrene.
  12. Did he run over your hydrangea on the way out, LOL?
  13. Revellogram 72 Cutlass and I believe that one of the ex-Lindberg 67 442s had A/C as well.
  14. Can you fit it on a Cobra chassis?
  15. My 3 is a 6MT, so it doesn't have this: https://www.mazda.com/en/innovation/technology/env/i-eloop/ Variable output charging systems are very much a thing now though, including alternator clutch hubs that can decouple them when the electrical load is low. Mazda's capacitor was just a little larger than the one they are selling in Bill's link though, LOL.
  16. It might be UPS Mail Innovations. UPS picks up the package, transports it, and hands it off to USPS for final delivery. Seems to take forever and the packages seem to sit a lot.
  17. I have some stamped metal "As Seen on TV" pans (two sizes) that are designed to make baked tortilla bowls. They are amazing. We make taco salad bowls and huevos rancheros bowls with them all the time. There stuff isn't ALL fly-by-night junk. I have two sets of the smaller ones and one of them came from Goodwill for $3, new in the box.
  18. Nice! I bought this kit at HL in a panic buy when the coupon was going away. I was planning on doing something like this with it, and you reinforced my idea.
  19. Again, not irked but saddened. I was on my way home from the LHS this afternoon after spending a disposable $65 on paint. As I was crossing over the freeway, I saw a woman in a red polo walking on the other side, bent over and obviously struggling with the hill. I recognized her as an employee from "my" Target. She has worked there for at least 10 years and must be in her upper 60s by now. I assume that she rode the bus or train to that street and was walking the rest of the way home. She has never been terribly friendly at Target, but she is efficient and one of my favorite checkers. I have her pegged as someone who "has" to work at her age, rather than someone who is working for fun or to be sociable. My dad got a job in his 70s to earn "Pill Money" for himself and my mom. I feel sad that I didn't turn around and offer her a ride. She wasn't really in a spot that I could have pulled over safely, but I think that I should have done something. It would have been her decision where to be dropped off. I wouldn't have needed to take her to her doorstep if she would have been uncomfortable. Fall is here. It's California, but I hope she doesn't have to do this every time she works. Bless you A*****.
