Yesterday actually. My cousin went home with three of the five ACM awards he was nominated for. (all three related to this song with Ella)

Eventually we all will be taking a dirt nap, and our stashes will suddenly belong to someone else.

Throw it in the purple pond and see what the plastic looks like after 13 coats of paint are gone. Then throw it away.

If you look closely, there is quite a lot that is different. Pretty much every panel, including the roof. The AMT 70 "Galaxie" started off as an LTD and has the more formal roofline of the 4-door pillarless hardtop, not the 4-door sedan. They also kept the LTD interior which has a fancier seat upholstery pattern than a Galaxie or Custom. The dash is quite a bit different between the 70 and 71-72 as well. The 69-70 is more driver centered with kind of a cockpit setup and the radio on the left. The 71-72 is more traditional.

I have their Hyundai Santa Fe. It is a very nice kit, kind of like an unassembled promo. My only complaint is there is almost no tolerance for paint thickness. I had to do a bit of filing on the body and the fender lips to get it to fit together. I expect the Wrangler is similar.

to corrode, duh

Yeah, I think the carpet is the same 🙂 Seat patterns, dash, console, and door panels are definitely different on the 1998-up. Interior door handle position was moved a bit as well.

The $400 KitchenAid stand mixers that didn't sell at Christmas hit the clearance cabinet for $200 in early January. Glad I check that part of the store when I am there.

It is interesting to me how few "exclusive" parts went into the ZQ8 trucks. My utility vehicle that once was a daily driver is a 1994 2.2 5 speed that was originally owned by my neighbor two doors away. I bought it for $1500 in February 2008. I added junkyard ZQ8 sway bars and e-bay 1998 ZQ8 wheels. I didn't swap the steering box or springs. Added aftermarket Bilstein shocks. I can't believe how well it handles, but you have to deal with the pretty much zero acceleration. I have a Perry's Resin transkit that someday I will build.

It's more than the dash. The seat upholstery patterns and the door panels are quite different as well. I hope this repop has an accurate 1998-2003 interior as well.

Hole in the wall bars can be a lot of fun, especially at closing time. (whatever that is in your city/state/country)
