  1. Yeah, here too. I decided to not attend a yearly event pool party today because it was too hot......
  2. school diploma finally
  3. 7N163378 is a partial VIN, so it appears that this one was an actual car at one time. Add 1243 to the beginning and you have the complete VIN. I have heard that the first two 69 Trans Am Mustangs started life as 351-powered standard fastbacks, not Boss 302s.
  4. I have a "dirty" bottle of flat clear acrylic (I think it is Testors, would have to look) that I use as adhesive. Once dry, I brush a little more on to seal the powder. I find white glue, even thinned, to be a little unforgiving.
  5. I learned something today. I always thought that "duff" was that body part that my parents were constantly telling me to get off of.
  6. I don't know if you have seen it, but Judy Norton has a YouTube channel where she goes behind the scenes of the show, talks about her co-stars, etc. If you liked the show, it's a fun watch. She is a good storyteller.
  7. Was a slam on California. We don't rake our forests like Norway does, that's why we have so many big fires. That said, That is a pretty serious brush rig. The local ones here are nowhere that serious and I suspect we have more brush fires than you do, LOL. The most local brush rig is an older Ford F750 that is fading from red to pink very rapidly.
  8. Perfect day to stay home and paint, LOL. Great pics, thanks!
  9. The molded-in-grey '49 Fords spoke to me a little bit. I have one around here somewhere that my dad built in the early 1960s. It's painted green with grey and black interior like the 1:1 my parents bought in Brownsville, Texas around 1951. I really need to dig it out and give it some love.
  10. Miles, I don't know where you get your Tamiya, but if you are buying them from a LHS that has the "small" rack you should look at Tamiya's website. There may be a lot of colors you aren't aware of. Also, they have some interesting military colors that look good on cars and trucks if you follow up with TS-13. Duplicolor is nice too. As T.J. said, you are limited to 1:1 colors that have been used in the last 7-10 years or so. Make sure you use primer under Duplicolor. I hear you about the airbrush. I get very little bench time as it is and I would get even less done if I had to clean my airbrush as well. Oh well, maybe when I am retired.
  11. There is an actual, real-live Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool on the Microsoft site and it works on Win7. T.J., it must have been part of the pre-loaded bloatware when you purchased your PC, or was installed sometime afterward. It is not part of Win7.
  12. Watching the characters in the skits go off in the weeds just to make the other players crack up was the best part of the show. Harvey Korman frequently was laughing so hard he couldn't say his lines. Tim Conway and the Siamese elephants skit is classic Carol Burnett.
  13. Yes, that is where you attached an actual "trunk" like the one your ancestors used when they came across whichever pond they crossed in whichever direction they migrated.
  14. Since you are making the extra-fancy interior, did you entertain any thoughts of scratching the optional headrests?
  15. I am going to assume they mean Revell Gloss Orange, but I don't know for sure.
  16. Not on "the road" per se, but I stopped for gas this afternoon on the way to the LHS and there was a Tesla at the pumps. Not the first time I have seen this either. Maybe filling up the gas can for the lawnmower?
