No model car club, but a 7th-8th grade science teacher sponsored a model rocket club. Yes, some of the model rockets were glue-bombs. We didn't have a huge amount of room, so we were limited to "A" engines.

AMC /Jeep 230 cui 6cylinder engine?
Rodent replied to carsntrucks4you's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Do you mean the Jeep 230 "Tornado" OHC from the early 60s? -
of multiple M-80s

That is not necessarily true. Certain breeds lay brown eggs and their feathers can be black, brown, reddish, or white. This white chicken lays brown eggs. If she is comparing "factory farm" white eggs with "free range" brown eggs, she is probably right about the flavor. A chicken's diet has a lot to do with the flavor of her eggs. An urban farmer I once worked with fed his chickens feed with a lot of chlorophyll, and the yolks were much darker than the white eggs from the market and tasted better too. Of course, they had just emerged from the chicken a few hours before he gave them to me. We used to stink up the break room making hard boiled eggs when Jim brought eggs to share.

Are you clumsy like me sometimes??

Reason enough to get an airbursh I guess. An older lady I used to work with told a story about how her husband went into a dark bathroom and grabbed what he thought was a tube of Preparation H (hemorrhoid cream if you don't have it on that side of the pond). After a liberal application he came to find out that he had grabbed the Bengay instead (menthol and methyl salicylate topical pain reliever that makes the applied area warm and tingly). She said that it was one of the funniest things she had ever seen. -
Thanks guys. I feel blessed that I live in such a beautiful area and have a brewpub and a nice Mexican restaurant so close. I also feel blessed that I can walk over there because so many of my younger brothers in styrene have medical issues and could no way do what I did on Saturday.

Cool, thanks. I know who he is. I have a Cobra in the stash, and with the Lightning being available again it might be fun to build the pace car and the official truck.

Had a nice 3-ish mile walk round trip to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants for a late lunch. Today was my birthday!

https://www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/the-curse-of-james-deans-little-bastard-porsche-550-spyder/#:~:text=James Dean's career as an,to cause considerably more trouble. This is the story that I have heard various versions of for years. I don't know how true it is, but all of the versions are similar. The engine and transaxle were pulled from the salvaged car, separated, and went on to kill and maim others. If it is true(ish), the engine and transaxle wouldn't have been part of the rest of the wreck that was paraded around. I have been through the intersection of 41 and 46 many times, and it has changed a couple of times over the years. I never saw the way it was in 1955 because Dean was far from the only person killed or severely injured there. By the time I first ventured through there in 1981 to visit a friend in SLO it had already been much modified from its original configuration and has been changed again since.

Looks nice! I have never built the '63 or the '61 in any version. The color really suits the car. -

A MKZ is a fancy Fusion. With a sunroof, it won't have much headroom at all for someone your size.

I am kind of an xxx sometimes, and enjoy seeing stupid people suffer. I have lived in one of the most amazing spaces I have ever been exposed to for 28 years now. A beautiful river parkway with lots of wildlife, salmon runs every fall, wild turkeys, coyotes, herons, raccoons, and bald eagle nests just a few miles upstream, etc. Lots of folks from the area that aren't lucky enough to be able to walk over drive there every day to enjoy it. Especially the river rafters. Cool. A one day pass costs $5 for a regular vehicle. A little more for a vehicle with a trailered boat or a kayak, raft, etc. There are small launching fees that amount to much less than the beer in the cooler. A basic 1 year park pass for all of the county parks is $50. Hang it on the mirror, no issues. If you are a disabled veteran, low income, blah blah it's much less. We went for a walk this afternoon and I was pleased to see four vehicles in the big parking lot that purchased the $57 1 day parking plan. Let me explain what that is. That is what is costs to park when you ignore the $5/day plan and decide that you don't need to pay at all. When the county folks or the rangers see y'all doing that, you get a $57 parking ticket. And you can't register your car again until you pay your parking tickets.

'69 Dart GTS...just like I would have built it in '69
Rodent replied to pack rat's topic in Model Cars
Looks nice Mike. I am of an age that I would have seen the 1:1s prowling the late 1970s high school parking lots. I think that all it needs is some cuts and shreds in the rear tire sidewalls from hitting the fender lips when the owner had three friends in the back seat. Hope the rear shocks are white with Hi-Jacker logos on them. -
