  1. Spill it guys, who is Gerry and where can I get coupe bodies?
  2. They were 1/25th and they were $1.00. I only remember the 1970 models. They were basically unassembled promos molded in white. No engines or optional parts. 70 LTD 70 Chevelle SS 70 Monte Carlo 70 Wildcat 70 T-Bird 70 (Fairlane/Torino) Cobra
  3. Thanks, I looked at some online and it does look like a nice kit.
  4. One would think that any "Pagoda" would be a subject that would sell. Not in Chevelle numbers, but enough to be profitable.
  5. I never got a sticker either. But I never bought a $439 kit from them either. Interested to see how this one looks when you unbox it. Looks pretty good so far from what you have posted!
  6. That, and I remember that the 4-doors greatly outnumbered the 2-doors. Edit: Exception being 70 Monterey 4-doors. Saw lots of those because that is what the Highway Patrol bought that year.
  7. In California, 2020 and newer BEVs are charged an extra $100 initially, and all BEVs pay $175-$25 (depending on the value of the car) yearly for the registration. It looks like five other states have similar charges. I like this idea MUCH better than paying by the mile driven.
  8. There is a bit of a car shortage now for several reasons. If you do decide to get another car, you probably won't get a deal like this on anything right now. Your last sentence makes the most sense to me, if you can do without a car.
  9. OK, I see what you are trying to direct Tom to. I never knew where all the settings were. Everything is working fine here, so I never had the need to go poking around. I don't think I ever opened my inbox before, I just click on the new message to read it.
  10. Which of these pertains to PMs? This is how mine is set, and I have always been able to receive messages.
  11. LOL. The most amazing cabs I have ever ridden in were two Fords in Tijuana. An originally triple green LTD II with square tires, spray painted yellow for taxi duty (including the vinyl top) and a late 80s Crown Vic interceptor that had clearly done LOTS of taxi duty in the US before being sent across the border.
  12. and everyone has .....
  13. You are welcome, go out and celebrate. Codes are on the vehicle certification label. I don't remember if it is on the door or the B pillar. The "INT" code is two letters, one is the type of seats installed, the other is the color.
  14. What is the two letter "INT" trim code from the driver's door decal? Just noticed: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN!
  15. I have a Sherwin-Williams store within easy walking distance. I started buying paint from them early this century. The price is about the same as the big-box home improvement stores, sometimes less. They have a "local residents" discount. The folks who work there actually know something about paint! Anyway, early this century, they started using gallon plastic jugs with handles for paint. I just used some from 2006 to touch up the home office and it was as good as the day I first used it. Long gone, back to metal cans that do just what David describes. Cheaper, and I guess they recycle easier than the plastic jugs do. On the USPS note, I sent something to my financial guy in SoCal and he got it in 2 days. My MCM arrived on my porch today from SoCal in 2 days. Guess that's a "pleased you" entry though.
  16. This could be ugly. The temp control is a motor, but the blend doors are vacuum. You could get lucky with a loose vacuum hose or the easier to get to vacuum actuator is bad. Or you could be looking at 4-5 hours flatrate to replace the "other" actuator or replacing the case. I don't believe that the doors themselves are serviceable unless Dorman makes something. Sounds like a city or county unit since it has both F/R doors in white.
