Chris, right now the molding looks good. I didn't know if you cut it or if it was resin. I have never seen one of these in a short wheelbase and it looks awesome. You would think they would make a short bed. I did find a short bed for the long wheelbase Dodge truck on ebay. Just have not built it yet. I really like what you have going on this...

The dry time never bothers me as I let all sit for a period of at least a week. I think lacquers are the best clear coat in a can. I don't know how the engine enamel would be over time.

Seems like decals are great or terrible with me. I rarely use them anymore..

When I order Tamiya refills I get about five rolls to save on shipping. I have had the same dispenser for about 3 years now.

I have used Tamiya putty and it does take a while to cure. I also use Squadron putty. I do like it better..

I always paint my body first, then engine and chassis parts. Don't over think it. You will find your own system and order as you go along. I would start with a few simple kits...
