I went to the World Turtle Day celebration in my town. Not a big event, just a turtle walk hosted by the town park system. It was late in the day so all the turtles usually sunning themselves on logs in the lake went home for the day. We did probably a 2 mile hike and didn't find any turtles. But the young lady who ran the event brought her box turtle Charlie for everyone to see.

Yup, recently dumped a nearly full bottle of BSI Accelerator across the work bench! As said, I never spray the stuff, but I removed the lid and there is just enough liquid on the bottom of the plunger tube to work for me. I didn't even know when I hit the bottle, just all of a sudden the bench was all wet. I mopped up what I could with paper towels and left the craft paper that covers the bench wet. By next day it was all dry. My workbench is an old hollow core door covered with brown paper. I once dropped a bottle of beer into an interior tub.

Amen. It's said that people don't leave jobs, they leave bosses. The problem is that those bosses just soldier on, ticking people off, and somehow companies don't catch on and sack 'em!

My model room was a bedroom, so it has a hardwood floor. When I drop something (note I didn't say when!) I get down on my hands and knees and sweep the floor with a business card. I find all kinds of stuff, some of which I didn't even know was missing. On my last build I needed 6 eyelets to tie down the tarp on my roof rack. I only had 5 left! Later on I dropped a photo etch interior door handle. I not only found the handle and some other misc parts, but I found an eyelet! That gave me the 6 I needed.

I am experiencing issues running a small eBay business. One of the issues is that my mail gets processed in Wilmington, DE and that's one of the centers due to be closed. I recently had a package going to a customer in Wilmington take 3 weeks. It's typically taking 2 weeks to get something from PA to CA. eBay adds to the mess by overlapping their over enthusiastic delivery promises to buyers. I have my terms set for 3 business day turn around, and that doesn't include weekend days. So something sold today (Friday) is due to be shipped by Wednesday. And eBay tells the buyer they can expect it Monday onward! I have people crabbing on Monday (before I've shipped) that they haven't received their item! Irritated is the perfect word to describe my current view of our gov’ment

I found this one in a junk box at the MidAtlantic NNL in Maryland this past Saturday. It’s a 1950s Marx Rolls Royce. Complete except it’s missing the front bumper. It never had glass. Couldn’t leave it there for $10. Proportions are all wrong but that’s part of the ancient charm of what is essentially a toy.
