  1. Was in New Jersey this weekend babysitting… My wife and I took a walk and heard loud music. We followed it to a food festival. I never saw a Weinermobile in person before! And at a local farm.. I feel a project coming on!
  2. Fun can vary widely as interpreted by the funee
  3. Neat! The tough part is getting it apart! That promo is plastic welded together! I had a time getting it apart without ruining any parts! I had one of these, purchased for my older daughter as her first car. Two years later her grandfather gave her a low mile Corolla, so I kept the Storm limber by driving it to work. Then my younger daughter got it as her first car. Once she was done, I got it back and drove it occasionally. Finally got rid of it when we moved to another state. Funny thing is that it was the best car ever! Got it witty 120,000 miles on it and drove it up to 180,000 before selling it. It never broke down! Just regular maintenance. Still sad I let it go!
  4. Boy seeks dog for long term relationship
  5. This is Jimmy. He lives in my yard. I feed him broken nut bits every day. I leave them in two different spots on my deck. I can sit in my chair and watch him check out the locations. He isn’t afraid of me as long as I don’t make any quick motions.
  6. When I watch the video, go to Hobby Lobby or to a show and there is nothing I need (keep in mind nobody actually “needs” a model kit) I don’t get all huffy, I thank my lucky stars that I already own all the models I’d like to own! Think about that for a minute.
  7. Best to you! Be safe!
  8. My partner in crime and I missed the Race of Gentlemen because he is anxiously awaiting the birth of his first grandchild. In the Facebook photos of the event this coupe kept showing up. I saved several photos because I have an old Monogram coupe just waiting for an idea! So later Sunday I’m on the local roads and this one on trailer passes me in King of Prussia, PA (that’s what qualifies it for this thread) so now I really need to build it!
  9. Thanks! I believe this one came out of the AMT 1960 Chevy pickup kit.
  10. Gobbled food eaten too quickly is often puked!
  11. Nice build in great colors! I remember when the 1970 came out. It was quite a change from the pretty 1969 nose treatment. My well off uncle had invested some money into a car dealership and as part of his deal, he got a new Pontiac every year. He got the new one and after a week or two wanted his 69 back. He just couldn’t look at the 70! They had his 69 still there so he got it back and took a new Firebird as his annual deal car. 11 year old me was quite pleased!
  12. It’s on the bench! That’s as far as I got with my 24 Hr Build in January. And now I’ve decided I cannot work on a new project until this one gets finished. It’s a bit further along. All the panel lines have been darkened and engine bay was sprayed semigloss black yesterday. I may do BMF later today.
  13. “But the last several auctions I've "won" have required forced payments that go through one hour after the end of the auction.” It’s a seller controlled setting. The default is 4 days and as said, some are set for immediate payment. The immediate payment thing was lobbied by the hand to mouthers who needed the $20 from that used toaster right now. I see the messages on eBay sellers boards with these idiots fretting about the nerve of buyers to wait a day to pay! And eBay recognized these losers by adding a fee for immediate payment! And there is nearly a daily complaint that some jerk sold his laptop because his rent is due tomorrow and eBay put a 30 day hold on it.. new seller, high dollar sale in the most fraudulent category! Most everything is in sellers settings, but they aren’t easily found and not that intuitive. They are impossible to find on the mobile version! I have my settings for 30 day payment. After that eBay will void the sale. I also have my shipping settings to combine multiple items and even to add an extra per item fee on International orders. Clueless sellers abound and I read the sellers boards both on eBay and Facebook for entertainment. Most of the complaints are user caused problems. Recently a lady wanted to sell a used window air conditioner with “eBay Free Shipping”. She wanted to know if she needed to box it and if eBay came to her house to pick it up. She thought free shipping was free to her! Yea, they are out there.
  14. “Release the monkeys!” Said the witch ?‍♀️
  15. Absolutely wonderful project! At first I wasn’t sure of the fender cut in the passenger door but I see it’s the same on the 1:1 car photo. Wasn’t that Henry’s limo?
  16. Strike over! Big lines at Walmart return counter as folks return all that TP?
  17. Crazy drive from NJ to PA yesterday! On the NJ Turnpike I was in the center lane and a car in the left lane was slowly overtaking me. We were going about 80. Suddenly there’s a loud blast of a rice burner screaming in between us, straddling the line! Quite startled I grabbed the wheel with both hands until I saw him going about 100 and then going all the way over to the slow lane to get past more cars! Later the radio reported an accident a few exits ahead and we wondered if it was him or if he caused it. Then we get back to PA and as we get off the PA Turnpike, there’s a two lane exit to the right that splits for two highways. I’m in the left lane of this exit and suddenly the guy to my right decides to go straight! If I didn’t jam my brakes he was into the right front fender of my new TourX!
  18. Don’t folks still have a 20 year supply of tp leftover from Covid? ?
  19. Lost and Found? This Renault Dalphene has been lost over 20 years.. probably 25! I bought it back in the day at a show with all the panels expertly cut out. I have all those parts, but this body and chassis have been gone forever. I figured it must’ve got tossed out. Today I open this Willys box and Ta-Da! There it is!
