If Casey's method doesn't work for you, you can try using image tags around the url. In front of the url, put "img" surrounded by brackets "[ ]". At the end of the url, put "/img" also surrounded by brackets "[ ]". I hope that helps. I can't type the tags exactly as they are used, as the forum just reads the tags and won't show them as text.

The Story of DeLorean

Very good documentary. Thanks for sharing, Bill. -
Michael's - what's your opinion?

Joe (SfanGoch), I've been trying to respond to your post, but the forum keeps sending me back to the home page every time i hit "Post". Can't figure out why, unless the forum software has a problem with some of the words / local names / formatting I used? -
What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)
Danny Lectro replied to LOBBS's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Nice! I started reading his work after I found out he was an influence on HP Lovecraft. My wife happened to have a big omnibus volume of his work (she was a fan since before we met), and handed it to me when I mentioned wanting to find some of the stories. Fascinating stuff, for the most part. -
Hey Ira, I am really impressed with what you're doing. I need to keep in mind what you did to the interior. I have plans to convert a Pegasus Apollo 27 rocket from 1/72 to 1/144, and I was thinking I would have to scratch a new cockpit bucket to work. Doing something like what you've done will allow me to use the stock cockpit and make it a split level with an access door to the interior of the ship.

test - Why can't I post a full reply in this thread? -
My wife cooked up a batch of homemade crab rangoon.

This kit is no longer providing me with ANY inspiration. Since I'm close to completion, I will finish as a straight OOB build, and then move on to something else. I had originally planned to do a flat clear-coat after panel-lining, but I decided not to bother. I also gave up on my plans to do two-toned paint on the pistols. I brush painted them with Testors gunmetal enamel, and highlighted the edges with Tamiya Weathering Master light gunmetal. The panel-lining on the light gray parts was done with Tamiya German Gray, heavily thinned with Windex. I then brushed Tamiya Weathering Master soot all over to highlight the edges. I have assembled the light gray parts around the frame wherever possible. The remaining parts will be airbrushed with Testors Navy Gloss Gray.

Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album

I've been really enjoying the Phase 2 album by Daikaiju. They are an instrumental surf rock band from Alabama. I first heard them on the opening and closing theme music for the Escape Pod science fiction podcast. My favorite song on the album is "Choujikuu Mitsukai" (I can't find a YouTube video, sorry). You can listen and buy at the link below. http://daikaiju.bandcamp.com/album/phase-2 -
Rub-On Decals?
Danny Lectro replied to Dale W. Verts's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you do go for the Pinecar decals, just make sure to read the packaging. They produce both dry-transfers and peel-and-stick decals. Make sure you get what you are actually looking for. -
Rub-On Decals?
Danny Lectro replied to Dale W. Verts's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Arts and craft stores like Michael's sometimes sell dry transfer decals in their scrap-booking sections. Selection can be pretty limited. I have never found any plain letter and number transfers at Michael's, but I have found some funky things like distressed text that could work on hot rods or rat rods. -
How can one bend time?
Danny Lectro replied to The Creative Explorer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Time flies when you're having fun. Ergo, the way to have more time to model is to stop having fun with it. Learn to hate your hobby, and those brief moments will come to feel like days! -

Same here, even with the more limited selection. There were a few random kits kind of jammed together on the highest shelf, at least nine feet up. -

The location closest to me is not set up like that. The most recent kit they had was Revell's Chevelle Pro-Street. I have not yet checked the one a bit further up north. I think the NY Metro area may be a worse market for model kits than most these days. -
Fujimi Nostalgic Racer Tuning Parts
Danny Lectro replied to jbwelda's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Tamiya's Alpine A110 has some good-looking side draft Webers, with molded-in velocity stacks. I've seen the rally version of the kit some places for $15 or less. I now wish I had cast some copies of those carbs for my own use. -
That does not make you a dummy. That makes you ONE BAD DUDE. Good stuff, man. Make sure you get dried off, warmed up and covered up when you are done!

Any other musicians in the house?
Danny Lectro replied to atomicholiday's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
My primary instrument is the bass guitar, but I also play a bit of six-string guitar. I've been told I can sing pretty well. I do home recording, making songs with looped or programmed drums and electronic elements, multi-tracking my own performances on instruments and vocals. I have recorded a some covers, some originals and some re-mixes. I've never played in a band, but my friends and I have contributed parts to each others' tracks. I have also done music and sound design work for a few stage productions, including some foley work. -
Nice stuff, William. I especially like the Broadspeed Mini.

Excellent work! That is a really nice color for it.

Danny Lectro replied to mikemodeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A bit of out-of-the-box thinking can make Michael's a treasure trove for a modeler, especially the scrap-booking section. I have found flocking in multiple colors, pearl powders fine enough to add to my clear-coats, little details that could work on rat-rods, and stencils with interesting patterns. I have found some useful dry transfer decals with the stickers and with the Pinecar racer supplies. -

There are two Michael's stores within a 30 minute drive from me, and I like shopping there. The model kit section IS pretty lame, but the usual 40%-off and occasional 50%-off coupons make it a good place to look for tools and supplies. I often find some really handy stuff throughout the store. -

I find if you paste a "YouTube.com" link in the reply box, straight from your browser's address field, the forum software will post it as embedded. For some reason, it doesn't work with the "youtu.be" links you get sometimes when you use YouTube's share function, especially on mobile devices.
