Close; they went from 115" to 112". Less than 1/8" in 1/25 scale, so adjusting each end 1/16" would be pretty much imperceptible. On the other hand, the AMT '69 Olds kits (Hurst Olds, Cutlass 442) should be a perfect fit and have the correct BOP details, not to mention much better details than the older Chevelle kits. With prices like they are now, you can probably find one of these cheaper than a Revell '68 Chevelle. (Also beautifully detailed, but needing the BOP tranny cross-member) The Monogram 70 Buick GSX, though 1/24, might trim down as well. Any way, very cool project! Looking forward to you build.

That Egyptian Gold looks like it has some large metallic flakes. Good for customs!

That's just plain cool, and the flared tubing really took the look from toy to model nicely, along with the simple screen. It's the little things that count!

I'm just now seeing this one, too! That color combo makes for a period-perfect look in my book. It just screams 1970 to me, right off a magazine cover. If it were to be strictly a show bike/trike, I'd love to see some bass-boat metal flake under that candy paint; that would put it over the top! Super fun and well done build.

Very clean and detailed perfectly to make a VERY attractive display piece. Very well done.

An easy-to-find reference is the Monogram/Revell 1/24 '64 GTO, since the cousins share the same greenhouse and many components, it is a handy 3D guide, as Monogram did a very nice job capturing those shapes. Revell 1/25 '65 Chevelle did to a decent standard. The other thing that caught my eye, and this may just be a trick of the eye viewing a picture of a picture so to speak, but the quarter panel character line seems to be casting a shadow, indicating that is a raised " bead" ( for lack of a better term). It actually mimics the profile of the larger line that runs the length of the car below it. It is just a shorter, smaller curving step, and would catch the same highlight as the other body line. Also, at the rear end, where it is shown turning down and creating a small squarish "cove", sort of like a smaller '64 Impala quarter panel, it should NOT do that! The upper line sort of fades into nothing just before reaching down to the mid-body line; very subtle. I offer this in genuine wishes for the printed model to be as accurate as possible. You have hit upon a car that is a personal favorite!

Absolutely love where the Buick is headed. If I may offer a constructive critique on a couple of points (and I apologize if you are already well aware): The base of the rear windshield, where it meets the tulip panel to the trunk, is not a hard line or abrupt change as illustrated, but rather a smooth upward curving transition from front edge of trunk lid to lower edge of rear window, with the lower window chrome trim laying on the same plane. Here are pics from one in my buddy's junk yard to illustrate the point:

Beautiful build, Igor! Very nicely rendered camo, this has a realistic appearance. Also, there is no need to self-censor the swastika emblem, in the context of an accurate model, it is accepted generally.

Gorgeous model. This was always my favorite of the Polar Lights funny cars, just because of the attractive color scheme and decals.

The flash photography gives the pictures a weird under-water photography vibe, like the view from a remote camera on a submersible, deep in a lake!
