  1. Now...there are some cars you want or have to build....than you realize, that there is not that kit you can use. for example: My wish: i have to build that Ford F150 as a snglecab and stepside (because it looks cool). Revell did the same model as kingcab with stepside or a singelcab fleetside (or styleside...what ever it is called). you have the point? if you want that specification, you have to use two different Revell-Kits. And than you will realize while searching those Revell-kits, that the fleetside is very hard to get. You realize, that the stepside-singlecab is also available as the Lightning (wich is a cool truck of course) but not the goal i followed. Built the Lightning btw couple years ago. After a lucky hit, i found that Lindberg kit. perfect! Thats the way to go. Singlecab and Stepside. Perfect. But...after i started the build - first the engine - i was not amused. it is simply terrible to build. The Chassis also and after some painttrouble (sure!) the windshield will not fit. That was the point i said: "the main thing is that it is done.?" What is done? Most out of the box. scratchbuild bullbar, attached driver and passengerside windows, tainted all windows, painted golden stripes. here and there paintissues and paintchips "corrected", black semi flat hood. Fortunately you cants see at the and all the stuff that didn't want to fit and all the improvements ? have fun!
  2. awesome. thats a outstanding built. absolute fantastic idea!
  3. nice old one ?
  4. well done! to build it as a 4DR, have you changed the wheelbase or is it on the same platform?
  5. very very nice! well done!
  6. b e a u t i f u l ....man, that looks pretty. Your detailwork is stunning!
  7. Thank you very much for your nice words!! If i had to choose? i think, the light blue one i would pick. I like that kit so much, that i think to build a golden one.
  8. The second is the barrierblue (i like that color more) and two pictures with both together.
  9. finished thes two Pontiacs in November 2019 - wow. thats long ago. The background is to replicate a fathers "only one picture existing car from the highschool back in the days" car. The color was named first barrierblue, but it came out too dark. So i decided to choose fontaineblue that matches the picture i had better. Body is painted with color out of the rattlecan, mixed and ordered from a paintshop online. engine is Testors Pontiac engine color. Interior is simply flat white, black carpet and dash. The original had no stripes. I built both the same (except the color) and detailed the engine. The Lady who got them sended was very pleased. Both are one of my favorites. The kit is perfekt. I had no issues with them. First the barrierblue Pontiac:
  10. oh yes, that looks awesome with those wheels! well done!
  11. thank you all. much appreciated
  12. the stuff in the interior is a nice touch to the clean and shiny outside ?
  13. thank you very much - much appreciated! As i build a second, only the hood was a little bit warped. The interior is painted with valejo "Blackred" (70.859). all brushed the same. the semigloss parts (dashboard or doorpanels f.e.) are handbrsehd with future to give it the "right" shine. the more layers, the more shiny like leather.
  14. cooooool ! That is what i call a replica!
  15. like it a lot! beautiful color and interieur. I always saw that in black, that doesn't warmed me to build mine....but in that color! Man, thats a beauty!
  16. x2. beautiful!
  17. The colors, the paint, the lowerness...all looks amazing! great car you've built. But, if you allowe me to give a small piece of critism what cought my eyes. Please try to remove the moldinglines on the chrome bumpers (next time perhaps). on the rear left bumper the chromechip cought my eye. because i'm sometimes to unmotivated to remove the chrome, sand them down, and rechrome them, blablabla etc. .....a small and fix repair is to sand the moldinglines down with 400/1000 wet sandpaper and cover the corners with molotow chrome. that works very well. As said: the overall look is amazing!
  18. me also. I like, that you build this rare(est of the rare?) Kit.
  19. it looks like my Impala i built couple years ago. I love that car and modelkit. its a cool car. If you mounting the hood keep an eye of the points where the grill is glued on the hood. that part touched "something" and the hood closed not properly. This is mine. i also choosed "non"-black ?
  20. wow. a lot of great work. it looks awesome! super nice.
  21. ohlala! Thats interesting. Keep it coming!
  22. to see the differents, some pictures side by side with my brithers "Donk"-thing
  23. i finished this Monte Carlo in Jan 2020. My brother converted the body with a T-Top, that is clear casted and painted with tamiya smoke. The chassis, interior and finish was my part. changes are dual-exhaust, seatbelts installed, some wiring and flocking the carpet. On two issues i will give a hint (i built two of the MCs with the same problems). first was the installation from the engine hood. it hits the interiortube behind the dashboard. second was the mounting of the rear side windows. they have to put in from the outside, but if the body is painted, i had to sand down the sides from the windowpieces to fit. overall a really good kit. looks awesome, fits well. decals "lay by them self while mounting in position" - i thought this work will be terrible but it wasn't. the only sad thing is, on black you can not see the lettering on the doors. here we go:
  24. Thank you all!
