The 1/20 AMX is much nicer than the Gremlin. The AMX is full detail, so it has a full engine, folding front seats, detailed chassis and suspension and lots of options for customization. It even comes with racing wheels and slicks for drag racing.

The 1/20 scale is actually pretty decent. It has working steering, engine detail is good and overall looks well proportioned. I think it shows it's age a little in places. The dash and interior could be better detailed (it's still a tub-style interior, knobs are just barely bumps on the dash), the headlights are part of the front ends chrome, etc. But it's definitely worth building.

Now, how did you know that I was building one of those? I picked up a glue bomb that I'm restoring.

In all seriousness, would it be possible to scratchbuild? The hardest part from looking at the rear axle would be the rounded back cover.

Hmm.... Something fishy....

The two bombers aren't really scaled. The smaller is a B-29/B-50 Superfortress by Boeing (judging by the tail, probably the B-29), the larger is a B-36 Peacemaker by Convair. More like difference in generation than scale. Nice pic, though.

I would love to see what you could do with one of those. Your other builds are usually mind-blowing.

Ummmm.... I think that Superbird is the one my uncle Bobby sold to some guy in the 90's/2000's. It looks identical down to the wrecked front. So the guy that bought it hasn't done anything with it either?

Besides model cars, I'm into PC games and some game systems, 2D and 3D graphics, used to collect Hot Wheels and Transformers (but I don't have the space anymore), and listening to music. I have a pretty extensive metal collection.

Went to Shawnee State University, originally to get a Bachelor's in EM engineering. Partway through, I switched majors and went to an Associate's in CADD. Ended up running out of money before I could finish the degree. I bounced through some retail jobs when I was younger, landed as a repair tech in an office supply store in Portsmouth. Went from there into PC tech for a retail computer chain as end-user support, then worked 14 years as store support for a retail big-box chain. And now I'm in IT for a phone carrier. I love my new job!

Looks like a really nice kit overall. I'm curious to see how it goes together.

I'd love to have both kits, but you HAD to bring up Mr. Yukk. Am I the only one that had issues with those commercials? I'd go into screaming, catatonic fits when they'd come on. And they always showed them during the cartoons I was watching. My brother had to get up on a broken ankle once when it came on. I couldn't move. Now they just P*SS me off.
