  1. I caught where the rear panel was the base color after I had completed the paint. After all that masking, I wasn't gonna redo it. I found some pictures of the car with chrome on the drip rails and kinda liked it, so I went with it. The interior turned out okay... I was trying to do red and a light grey, but it didn't turn out the way I pictured it. The dash, though, makes me happy.
  2. Actually not many. Definitely the Lindberg '72 Dodge Challenger. Probably the MPC '67 GTO, but that might get modded instead. There might be one or two more.
  3. Really nice work! I love the pearl white.
  4. Finally getting the chance to start posting again. I still need to get a good engine shot, but at least it's a start. This is the Revell 57 Ford kit. It's pretty awesome, overall. Everything went together like a charm. I did a two-tone paint job; Ford Cardinal Red by Duplicolor, topped with Testor's Classic White. I thought about making it a Fire Chief car after the paint came out, but it still looks pretty nice as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for looking, and please leave some comments/suggestions.
  5. I keep going back to the site to update my votes since people keep adding new stuff.
  6. Looks Awesome!!
  7. Very nice work! The detail is excellent.
  8. Won a bid last night on eBay for a '73 Mercury Cougar gluebomb. Should be easy to rebuild.
  9. I was thinking the same thing.
  10. Hey, on some of the kits we build involving woodgrain, has anyone out there tried Washi tape? I just found this and wondered if it works as well as I would hope. http://www.wishywashi.com/product/wood-grain-washi-tape
  11. This looks like a really nice kit, I'm impressed. May have to pick one up.
  12. Outstanding! Looks awesome!
  13. Absolutely gorgeous! Excellent work!
  14. The paint job is awesome. I love that color. I'm never sure how to interpret that color on the undercarriage of most newer cars. I can't tell if it's a grey, tan, or what. Last few I've done have been kind of a coppery/tan color.
  15. Really sad. I hate to see things like that.
  16. Got in a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, mildly gluebombed but in nice shape overall. Also got a mostly intact "Dr. Crook's Travelling Medicine Show" Show Rod. I can make any missing pieces. Even the decals are workable.
  17. Your work on this is amazing. And I wouldn't worry about the watermarks, they aren't that distracting.
  18. I think brass is gonna be the way I go when I rebuild my 1/12 Cord. It fell off a shelf and a lot of the suspension snapped. I don't think sheet styrene is gonna be strong enough to hold that beast up.
  19. Sorry to hear about losing another LHS. port seem to be growing slightly. They're getting fewer and father between.
  20. I've thought seriously about making a casting of the engine from the Revell Challenger or Dodge Magnum to have a little more correct engine. The one in this kit looked a little funny to me.
  21. Got one of these, and I'd like to see a buildup. I'll keep watching.
  22. Just won and paid for a lot including a Dr. Krook's Travelling Medicine Show and a Ford EXP. Even if the Medicine Show isn't in perfect condition, I've got the stuff to rebuild it.
  23. I try to vary mine as much as possible. So far I haven't used much green, but that'll probably change.
