  1. I'd like to get ahold of one of these eventually. Always thought the Monza was a pretty little car. Same for the Vega.
  2. I usually use burnishing tools from Hobby Lobby for the first pass to get it started, then q-tips for the final pass. The tools have rounded ends on them so they don't catch the foil.
  3. I'd definitely take a kit of Bonaparte (the little tank from Tank Police). A good kit of the Thundertank and the Fe-Liner The Maraj from Silverhawks The Batmobile from Batman TAS
  4. I think I'd just ask to have some of my previous cars back in new condition: 1972 Buick Skylark Custom hardtop with a 350-2 1990 Crown Victoria LX with a 5.0 1969 Dodge A108 van (just cause it was neat) 1998 Cadillac Deville Concours with the 4.3L Northstar (yeah, I know about the Northstar) And Dad's 1992 Chevy Caprice with the comfy interior and the big V-8.
  5. Your build looks really nice. Somebody had a way of faking a "carbon fiber" look by using a black base coat, then covering the piece with mesh and spraying a dark metallic grey. That might be something to keep in mind if you keep having issues with the decals.
  6. I think I've seen that car running around Ohio. Very nice work!
  7. I've been using the Fokti instructions site a LOT. It's really handy for glue bombs.
  8. I'll have to get a pic and post it. I could list them, but I think the pictures show more.
  9. It looks like a covered wagon. I like it.
  10. I've seen a few on ebay. I think The Doc has been using pieces from 40K and WHFB (Warhammer Fantasy Battle). You can also look on the main website for Games Workshop, they sell the whole kits and used to sell the bits individually for kitbashing. You would probably be better if you can find a shop that sells "bitz" locally. The kits can be pretty expensive, usually $40 or so unless you get a used one.
  11. That's really nifty. I gotta make one of these.
  12. I just got a gluebombed IMC GT40. I could see where people might think it's a finicky kit. The upper body might be tricky. The details is outstanding, though. Especially for that old of a kit.
  13. you might see if someone can loan/rent you a metal detector. That would help you locate your tools faster.
  14. My wife still has her ALF doll from when the show was on. She had it in the hospital with her both times she had open heart surgery, the first time when she was 10, and last year just for good luck.
  15. Really nice work.
  16. This one would be a fun kitbash.
  17. Outstanding paint!
  18. I had the same issue with the PE set. Somehow managed to drop both of the "P"'s for the nose, so I just stopped. Right now my Bonneville just has "ONT" on the nose because I was afraid to drop anything else.
  19. I'll have to hit Meijer. Thanks for the info!
  20. Really Nice! I take it this is a 1/43?
  21. Definitely build more and buy less. I've bought several glue bombs recently that I've had good luck with, but I've got so much to work on I don't know where to start.
  22. Help Desk Technician. I've taken a few computer classes, but I don't have an IT degree. I can strip down and rebuild a computer without thinking about it too much.
  23. Quite nice so far. I like it.
  24. Been there, done that. Why I'm more careful about which brands of super-glue I buy now.
