69 Road Runner 440 Six- Pack hood
george 53 replied to Elliot949's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
That's Vaughn Hart, Bruno. VERY good resin caster. He has ALOT of really good stuff too! His castings are excellent, and he offers ALOT of other Mopar stuff. Sorry I forgot to mention him too, just didn't know he had a 6-Pak hood. -

Elliot, Mikes Scale speed shop has one. I got a few of them from him. I'm pretty sure they're 5 bucks each, but i got them a while ago. They might've been only 4 bucks, i can't remember. But they ARE VERY nicely cast with NO flaws or clean up needed. Hope this helps. -
Just a Thank you

I too thought it was a nice thing of Gregg to do. After all the stuff that's been goin, I'm surprised that he even WANTS to be taken care of this forum. He does have a FULL plate in front of him, what with runnin the Mag, the Forum, AND his painful back injuries, I'm suprised he hasn't just chucked it ALL! But it IS REAL nice to be able to see other types of models, as I do enjoy seeing ANY well built models. Again, let me chime in with a BIG THANKS, to Gregg and Harry. They BOTH are MUCH stronger willed than I would've been about the nonsense thats been going on here. -
Si! :)

Revell 49 Merc Question
george 53 replied to Skydime's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ken, it's plastic, and you can do ANYTHING you want with it. If i get what your talkin about, you want to use this sprue tree as a chassis AFTER you've modded it? Hey, it sounds good. Just give it a shot an let us know how it came out! i think you should go for it!!! :D -
VERY nice job, Felix, the color combo is RIGHT ON!!!! Looks GREAT!!! :D

model cars mag subscription?
george 53 replied to lowriderphil's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, Jim, it probably would've. But he didn't and since we're used to it being late, whats the difference? I just think that we could be a little more understanding of his predicament. Like I said, this is just my opinion, I'm NOT tryin to start any kind of B/S, just stating a point. I just hope you guys understand it. -
Real.

model cars mag subscription?
george 53 replied to lowriderphil's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Fella's, This year in Sylvania, (the NNL's) i was REALLY lookin forward to seein Gregg again, ALONG with some other freinds. Well I DID manage to hook up with Anthony Rios and Santiago Hernandez.and Steve Zimmerman. When I asked Tony about why Gregg wasn't there, he told me that his back was REALLY messed up at the time he saw him in Cali, and that he didn't think he could handle the flight from Howarya back to the mainland. I'm one of the guys who stay with the mag out of sheer loyalty. Yeah, I get tired of it being late, who wouldn't? BUT, I UNDERSTAND why it's late, and that helps keep things in perspective. When the coach is sick, the players are at a loss too. There's really not alot we CAN do about it, but understand that putting out a mag is ALOT harder than it looks. We enjoy the END product, without really realizing just what has to happen for us TO get it. This IS the way it IS. Can't keep blamein folks for bein hurt, but just understand what HE has to go thru just to get it out! Give the Big Kahuna a break, i KNOW if he could change things, he would. Starting with the accident that got him hurt. But just like HE can't do anything about it, neither can we. It's a GREAT mag, I KNOW alot of the contributors, caz their HERE too, and it just FEELS like a homier type mag than SA. Back i the day, Gary Schmits ORIGINAL SAE wouldve been a GREAT companion to MCM, over that SA rag i get now, but, that's NOT the way it is. THIS is, so we just gotta deal with it, as frustrated as it may be for some of us. Put yourself in Gregg's shoes. (or flip-flops) and maybe you'd see things in a different light. I'm just glad to GET another model car magazine caz there's only these two that I can think of that cater to us plastic guys. If there ARE others I sure as heck don't know about them. But then they won't be run by a guy I consider a freind. We just gotta butch up an deal with it like grown-ups, and understand Gregg's predicament. This is JUST MY opinion, but I believe it to be right. Hope i didn't offend ANYONE. If I did, then I appologize in advance. -
Matt, it came out so nice, that if I were you, I'd just go ahead and re-do that grill. it was a cool idea though. Such a good idea, that personally, it would make a BIG difference in the final result. It can out NICE! I ESPECIALLY like the flames. VERY nice build!!!
