  1. I think some polished full size wheel discs would look nice on it, as opposed to plain steelies. Duhhhhh, But that's just me.
  2. I gotta agree with Sam, Dave. From the pictures I couldn't see any flaws. It looks good to me. But if YOU can see them, that's all that counts. Pretty good effort if ya ask me. Keep it up!
  3. Matt, years ago, I once had the pleasure of working with a gentleman who used to work as a coalman on a train called the 'Fast Flying Virginian" It used to haul coal thru the mountains of West Virginia. Once, we went to the Henry Ford Museum and saw the real thing. That monster is HUGE!!! It too is a 4-8-8-4 locomotive, and when he tells me it used to shake the ground a 1/2 a mile away from the track, i can believe it.These things musta been a site to see!!!
  4. Geeze,Harry, I built this as a kid, and i didn't EVEN THINK of tryin ta wire that rascal! You did a GREAT job on it Daddy-O, it came out REAL nice!
  5. I just posted there,Harry. Personally, I think it'll do ok. That's good to be open enough to be able to accept OTHER types of models here. Cars wil ALWAYS be our central topic, but most of us who build cars, also build other types of models too. I used to build 1/48th aircraft(WWII,VN.) So I DO enjoy seeing other models. Really,ANY model is interesting to me. I understand the time and can appericiate the efforts that can go into building a nice model car,or boat ,plane, etc. I think this section will do alot for us, I think it'll prove to be popular. I know I'll visit it often. Again, Thanks to you and Gregg for doing this. I appericiate it!
  6. WOW! Not a bad idea,I guess. It is cool for some guys to be able to show their OTHER modeling intrests! I think this'll do ok. Thanks guys! (Gregg n' Harry)

  12. Tom, Doesn't the AMT/ERTL 49 Ford Custom Coupe come with a Caddy V-8 in it? I THINK it's a Tri-Power, but maybe you could use the manifold for your needs. Hope this helps.
  13. Skip, R&R stands for Ray and Ruth Parsons. Mrs. Parsons is a REAL cool lady to talk with. She WILL remember your name should you ever be fortunate to meet her. NICE lady!
  14. BEAUTIFUL color! I LIKESES it!!!!
  15. Tub it Chuck, an jus pro street it out. it DOES need a BIG OL NASTY 429 Shotgun in it,though!
  16. Ralph, I have one by R&R Resins that i got quite a few years ago. I've been told it was a copy of All Americans 72 Riv. It looks like a bit of a handfull to build, with ALOT of grinding needing to be done. But it does come with just about everything you need to finish it, other than an engine and tires/wheels. There MAY be another floatin around out there, but A.A.'s and R&R'S are the ONLY two Riv's of those years that I know of.
  17. OOOOO Kenny, tha ezz one charp chort,my man!!!! REAL nice job on this ride brother! You sure knew where you were comin from with this one! I LIKES it ALOT!!!!! :D
  18. Dave, Ed Fluck's F&F Resin was Ed Fluck, of Drag City Resin's DAD. The elder Mr Fluck passed away, and Drag City was started with some of his older castings, and Ed Jr's castings. Ed Jr, does some GREAT stuff. I still am waiting for my check to get his chopped 36 Chevy coupe! I buy alot of hoods from him too. his quality is RIGHT up there!
  19. Cliffo, anything worth doing, is worth doing right! take your time, we aren't going anywhere! :)
  20. May your "Gramps" rest in Peace, Don. Prayers will be said for him and your family.
  21. Sam, just use the interior from the Ram Glue kit! It's the same thing and it sure SEEMS like it would be a drop in fit! Hope rthis helps!
  22. It LOOKS like ya got a Monogram 1/24th vette, a Pyro/Lindburg Cord, an the old Tom Daniels 'Pie Wagon, by monogram. Hope this helps!
  23. I looks like it's already chopped! Cool. Don't know wat it is, but it's cool to me jus tha same!!!

  25. That came out REAL smooth,LoLo. What WAS the original engine in that rascal? I thought it was a Wankel, or somethin weird like that. A small block Chevy is just a natural for it! Great job!
