Alan Raab HAS made a name for himself with ME, as far as I am concerned! He is one of the coolest ,easiest to get along with resin casters that I've met inna LONG time! I've sent him masters after we spoke about some ideas i had. He agreed, and cast them up for me! Now their in his product line. He's got the ONLY GM Toronado/Eldorado front wheel drive Trans-axles on the market! Plus he has the VERY limited "66/ 76 "Strato Backed" BENCH seat too( It's a FULL sized bench seat with Strato Bucket seat backs) they were standard in Caprices, an the Pontiac "Grand Ville" NICE seats. ALL of Alans stuff is PREMIUM quality! He DON'T cast NO junk!!!!! If you deal with Al, you can rest ASSURED your gonna get a QUALITY product!!!

CVS, Walgreens, and Rite-Aid, often have sales on them. Sometimes as cheep as a buck. My daughter buys them for me when she sees them on sale, so I gotta few REALLY nice colors. Haven't ACTUALLY PAINTED with them yet, but when I get around to it, I got them rascals!!!! -

'70 Dodge Charger Conversion
george 53 replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Brandon, no conversion kits are available as far as I know. You'd have to change the entire front end,as the two used totally different sheetmetal from the front doors forward. Modelhaus, and Time Machine resins both make a 70 Charger body to use with the old MPC General Lee. But I think the AMT 68/69/70 RoadRunner,GTX, and SuperB's Chassis would be a much better way to go.Hope this helps. :) -
Jim, I bought the re-issue that came out several years ago, from the revell SSP series. I opened it up when i got home, and man, the memories sure came back! It's nice to be able to build (some of) those old cars from my childhood. ;)

My first model CAR was Revells 56 Chrysler. I was 6 and my big brother bought it for me. It had the seperate sides, roof, trunk, and hood. It didn't go together very well, but it was my first one. That was April 1st, 1959, my 6th birthday. I've been steady building ever since.

Rude remarks made at model shows
george 53 replied to junkman1153's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Rod has TOO MUCH class and is TOO mature to get physical over MODEL CARS! But he DID remember what these UNFUNNY clowns looked like, and he'll probably stay away from bad news rather than associate with it. (But ya SHOULDA just smacked the Bastiges,Zuke!!! ) -
The RICHARD CARROLL TIRE SET
george 53 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
WOW! I haven't seen THOSE in a million years! I remember them being advertised in the old Car Modeler magazine. Those are cool if nothing else, just to look at! What ever happened to Richard Carrol? I remember seein alot of his builds in those days. -
Some really Sweet turbos from Shucky
george 53 replied to envious8420's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Already got Mikes Turbo's an they're NICE!!! Gonna get me some of them Centrifical Superchargers when they're ready! Mike casts some REALLY nice stuff. Check him out!!! :) -
Gary, Jimmy just put the Quicksilver roof on the R/M 60 Chevy. I have one, only paid 10 bucks for it at our yearly toy show. It does mount pretty easily on that chassis. You WILL have to mod the interior to make it a delivery van, but the rest of the R/M chevy parts fit pretty good. Just the usual type of work needed that you'd put into any resin conversion . It DOES build up nice. :)
