  1. An maybe one of them weird little MEDICINAL cigerettes!!!
  2. Jerred, If ya REALLY want it, I'd just go head an get it! Like Chuck says, next time ya go back, it just might be gone!
  3. Comin from you Chuck, I find that believeable!!!!
  4. Chuck, ya made a sows ear outta a sows ear!!! Ya know this truck(Or at least one that looks similar) IS available in plastic. I think it was one of the Model King releases if I'm not mistaken. ANYWAY, ya dun a GOOD job in makein a good ol farm beater outta it!!! Great job,Daddy-O!!!
  5. The little Ford is cool, Merc! Too bad they don't make as many cool models in 25th as they do in HO scale!!!!
  6. Oh and Rom, not to say YOUR not a great builder too, I just forgot to say your name!
  7. John, Since Dave, Bill, an Lyle have split, you an Pete seem to be carrying this forum when it comes to flat out OUTSTANDING builds! No wonder some of the new guys feel intimidated! I KNOW your not TRYIN to, but your builds just DO IT!!! It's just amazing what you can do with plastic. It's guys like you's who inspire me! After all these years, I STILL can't do what I've seen you guys do!!!! ANOTHER fine BEAUTIFUL build. THANKS for sharein it!!!
  8. Kev, my man! Now EVERYBODY can see the cool stuff WE get ta oogle every month!!!!
  9. Don, it's material make up is less than it's unbuilt state. If you had to BUILD it, then I'd consider it a real model.
  10. SOMNAVAGUNCH,Chuckman, ANOTHER rusty crusty dusty killer!!!! Gonna hafta make my way up ta Ithaca an see these bad boys up close an personal like! THIS one REALLY takes the cake! GREAT combination of parts for a GREAT lookin model!( But I GOTTA agree with Cruz, it WOULD look good all nice an shiney!!!)
  11. Welcome,Ken! jus pull up a chair an join in the madness! i promise you no one here will think your strange! MOST of the rest of us are TOO!!!!!
  12. WOW, Jim, it sure looks like the pic, your doin a GREAT job on it. But WHAT makes it a DAYTONA? NOTHING against YOU at all, but just puttin a wing on a pickup does NOT a Daytona make, at least to me. It IS a wicked lookin lil truck, no doubt, but to carry the name DAYTONA, to ME it seems, it would need that pointy ol NOSE that was the trademark for those cars. At this rate, all those funny lookin lil tuners with them big ol silly lookin wingy things on 'em could call themselves Daytonas. You ARE doin a smash bang job of it though, caz it DOES look JUST like the pics! GREAT job, it IS lookin GOOD!!!
  13. Looks good Bro. But I'm afraid I'm just too used to those lil Jeep thingies!!
  14. C'mon in Bill, you've already shown ya got the right personality for this forum! i think yer gonna like it here!!!!
  15. The Only difference between you and Rom, is EXPIREINCE and desire. BOTH are obtainable IF you have the desire. I THINK Rom, just got so good at it caz he WANTED to be THAT good. After all the years he's been doin it, it WILL come to point where he HAS learned from every build, and it shows. IF you want to be that good, you can. If not, well as long as YOUR enjoyin yourself, really, WHO CARES?
  16. Thanks,Charlie, to ME ,she is. But I been buildin for so long, that ALL the wimmin I've been lucky enough to know ALWAYS SEEMED to understand my fixation with these little cars! My Sisters, when they had kids, used to put them on ME! "Go play with your Uncle Georgie" they'd say. And NOW I have a nephew AND a neice who build, and they're BOTH in their 30's! One builds ANYTHING plastic, and the other is into Sci-Fi stuff. Great kids and they ALWAYS talk about models with me when we're hangin out with the family. So I GUESS the chain still goes on!
  17. WOW, Cool, guys, THANKS for the pics! They were GREAT refrence! Ok then Brian, sorry, I WAS wrong, an the car IS STILL a killer!!!!
  18. When I met Theresa in High School, and she came over to see ME, (She was a freind of my sisters) The first time she saw my models she thought they were nice. Then we started dateing and got serious, she'd go with me to K-Mart and just quietly watched as I would buy 10 or 20 bucks worth of models. By the time we married, and I left for the service, she KNEW how much my models meant to me. She made SURE that my mom DIDN'T throw ANYTHING out! She even sent me those little 1/72 MPC model airplanes "With REAL Battle Damage" to build while I was in country. Now, all these years later, she's my BEST critic. If she say's she likes a paint job, then I know it's ok(She gave up an ART scholarship to marry me, so I trust her opinions implicetly) She ALWAYS goes to the Toy Shows with me,and is my conscience when it comes to spending too much on a kit.(Don't you ALREADY have a few of those?) But she understands my feelings for my "Toy Cars" and i appericiate her patience with me about them. I guess, if you've been with someone long enough(38 years) they begin to take on your personality, and you, theirs. She NEVER has said ANYTHING to me about my hobby, and I kinda like to think she secretly loves 'em as much as I do!
  19. THANKS Brett, I was wonderin.
  20. If your a gung ho type of modeler, and ENJOY building to the N'th degree, that's great! But if your just startin out, DON'T be intimidated by some of these great modelers, THEY had to start somewhere too! I just enjoy puttin 'em together now. I DON'T try to build to MATCH the other guy, but after all these years, I can STILL learn from these guys. I know how i can be about them, caz after all, the ARE just models to me. BUT I certainly UNDERSTAND how some guys really DO want to make as accurate a model as they possibly can. To each his own, but if your just gettin in the groove, just build to YOUR level, if it makes YOU happy, that's al that counts. Heck, even one of the BEST modelers I've had the pleasure of calling my freind, Bill Geary, hasn't finished his BEAUTIFUL 64 GTO convert simply caz he hasn't found a material to use for it's roof. If HE can be stumped, then it's OK for the reast of us to be too. Your next one WILL be just a little bit better, an so on, an so on,....... Like they used to say in rehab, Just DON'T stop tryin!!!!
  21. At 1/87th scale wat kinda cars would go with it? Those little Micro Machines? Interesting subject though, to say the least!
  22. Mike, watch out wat yer smokein, YOU might end up as one!!!!! (jus make sure it's MEDICINAL grade!!!)
  23. Really nice clean build B, but, and I'm NOT tryin ta be picky, wasn't the engine compartment of that year Fairlane, body colored? I think it was. But it doesn't take a thing away from your build, it DID come out GREAT!!!
  24. Well Rob, the only others I can think of are the Boothill Express, or the just rereleased Rommel's Rod. Did the old Aurora Undertaker Dragster come with a skeleton too? I'm not sure, guys's any more "Dead Heads" out there?
