  1. Great mods Steve. I used the E/C and chassis, modded of course, to make the chassis's for my 70 and 71 Cuda's. I remembered that Chrysler used the B Body chassis and E/C under the E bodys, so I just did the same thing. Came out pretty good too, just like the big guys!
  2. Yeah,Gary, the original was white. I had a coupla them, and as far as I can see, ALL the parts are interchangeable! About the only thing you MIGHT need to do is trim the windsheild from the rear backlite. Plus you'd get all new chrome for it too. "Cept for the original 65 grille, it should ALL fit, AND look good as new!!!!
  3. I'm just AMAZED at how you can do this level of detail!!! ALL the pics were doin it for me, but the detail on the embossed material in the cockpit was a wee bit too large. But YEESH John, it really DOES look like it was shrunk down from the real Mc Coy!!!Simply BEAUTIFUL!
  4. Gary, if it's white, it's probably an ORIGINAL body! I remember the FIRST Mustang kits, the 65's at least WERE converts WITH the hardtop as an OPTION. If you can find the 66 reissue, you should have ALL the parts to bring that rascal back!!!
  5. A member of our Model Club did this SAME conversion on HIS JoHan 71 Cuda. He used the complete e/c AND chassis from the Revell 70 Challenger release. He had to do SOME modifying of the parts, but for the most part, it was pretty easy he said. It CAN be done useing those parts. Hope this helps!
  6. Got mine today! Covers weren't torn up or nuthin!!! Hey, things are lookin better! Liked the Chevelle article, and the Olds truck build up. Another GREAT issue!!!
  7. Chuck, VERY nice job! The colors GREAT on it too. REALLY like the idea of the Aurora engine!
  8. Jeff, I got the motors from the Revell Bass boat series. Would THOSE help???
  9. One of our guys did the same thing with his, only without the sleeper cab. Great idea! Looks to be coming along VERY nicely!!! Looks like you could use it as a good base for a motor home too! Keep it up, it's lookeen gooood!!!!
  10. Shelle, My model Club, Down River Model Car Club, is located in Dearborn, off of Ford Rd. Easy to get to from I-94 or I-75. or even I-275! It IS basically a regular meet for MODELS! The guys bring builts, pre builts, still in tha box,and their trophy winners(We got ALOT of those!) They are ALL REAL nice, easy ta get along with, and VERY helpful with ANY questions you might have! Some are good at one thing, others good at other stuff, an some are good at EVERYTHING! (H, Steve Perry, Mike Garret, etc.) Some of our members are resin casters,Jeff Ballard, Kevin Lutz, Kris Morgan These guys cast some of the BEST resin bodies and detail parts around. And Tom, he's our Toy Show vendor, an HE always brings the latest releases! So if you can get to one, or Us, you SHOULD find a nice welcome reception! Model Clubs are a GREAT way to make MORE modeling freinds, learn new stuff, and see some GREAT models AND modelers! It would be GREAT to see ya! We meet once a month, on the 3rd Friday of EVERY month at 7:00 at the Dearborn Ice Skateing Center(DISC) on Ford road, about a mile north of Southfeild Freeway. PM me if you want for the EXACT addy on Ford road. It'd be Nice ta see ya!!!!!
  11. Ta have a BIG ol garage like that, yeah, I'd take the house!
  12. The YELLOW one is the mis formed Pro modeler kit! The BLUE one is the CORRECTED version!!! I have them both. Unfortunately, I purchased TWO of the yellow ones when they first came out, and if ONE was a mis formed kit, I just surmised that they BOTH are mis formed kits.I have a CASE of the blue ones as THEY are properly molded. THe only difference is the Hemi Engine in the yellow one,and the Photo Etch parts . The SECOND yellow one, WITHOUT the Revell Monogram printing beneath the Charger R/T call outs is the SECOND release of the Pro-Modeler version, with the CORRECTED body in it! Hope this helps!
  13. Personally Eric, I think THAT would hit it right on tha head!!!
  14. Wouldn't silly putty be too soft? Does it harden if you leave it out of it's egg? I thought it would just evaporate. Still seems too soft to push an impression into it. But hey that's just my op.
  15. Yeah, Jim I use sprue melted in Testors liquid cement for things like this, But you still have to wait for the"Goop" to dry in the mold. THIS sounds like a MUCH faster way! Thanks Brett, this is a REALLY cool idea!
  16. Didja make that shell Dan, or buy it? If ya made it, MAN did it come out NICE! If ya bought it, can I ask ya where from? I been wanting one, but just can't bring myself to pay 70+ bucks for that one from Cail resins. Yours came out GREAT!!!!
  17. I want a Grand Am!!!!! Who do I contact, and How? Do we start a letter sending campaign or what. Either way, I want one!!!!!
  18. YEEESH, Again??? Man a guy jus can't getta break!! You've gotten TOO good,Harry!!!!
  19. Scott, Brother ya found the RIGHT place to ask questions! These guys honestly DO know it all! Just ask. We do have a truck section, down near the bottom of the index page. We also got Tim Ahlborn, who lives eats and sleeps trucks! If HE can't answer a truck question, there ain't one!!!Welcome to the forum!!!
