  1. WOW, So did I! That's looks like it's gonna come out GREAT!!!!!
  2. Bill, I know you've already selected your engine, but if you need a Buick mill, the AMT 66 Riv comes with a GREAT 455 V-8 with dual quads. It IS a big block so it MIGHT be TOO big, but it sure is a NICE lookin motor when built.
  3. Tonio, THAT is a BEAUTIFUL build! I LOVE the color!!!! A freind in high school had one, only darker green with a white roof. The chicks LOVED that car!
  4. FINANCIAL fraud????? How could they access your finances thru a MODEL CAR website????
  5. I already ordered on of these bad boys an now I'm just waitin on it! You did a GREAT job on this rascal, and I just hope mine comes out as nice as yours! THANKS for the tutorial, it was great too!
  6. Bill, I got one of Jimmies XLR bodies, and when I asked him what I needed to finish it, he told me that the Maisto Die Cast Vette was needed. I JUST happened to have one, so i took it apart and tried it. and it worked! I haven't tried the Revell plastic kit to see IF it'll work, caz I just took Jim's advice and used the Die Cast parts.
  7. I was just gonna say put some 5 bolt wheels on it, after all, it's only plastic. But you guys were talkin REAL,so, nevermind.
  8. Sure looks pretty sharp ta me too Chuck, Considering it all started with a R&R resin cab!
  9. Welcome Chad! Ya came to the RIGHT place,Daddy-O! If THESE guys here can't help ya, Your In BIG trouble! Just pull up a chair and enjoy, these guys'll be able ta tell ya just about ANYTHING ya need ta know!!!
  10. OOOO, Rick, THAT'S gonna be kinda tricky, cause the differences are more than just a new front an rear end! The front fender tops are a bit more sculpted and the bottom and rear of the rear quarter panels are a bit more sharply sculpted than a 65. To be HONEST with ya, I'd just TRY ta find a 66 MPC kit,(VERY expensive) or try to find an old OTAKI kit. THAT would give you the proper body, and you could use the interior and chassis from the 65. The Otaki kit is a curbside with a ratty shallow interior, crappy chassis and full widows(side glass molded in) BUT it IS reasonably priced on the bay. The ONLY reason I know is caz I did it. THEN I was able to find an unbuilt one on the bay. Otaki kit unbuilt, 22.00 plus S/H, the MPC kit, UNBUILT,175.00 Plus S/H. BIGGGG difference!!!! Hope this helps.
  11. Mike, it looks like a 57 Vette with a fin on it. What is it? Is it a resin kit, or did you mod a AMT kit, or an original MPC Vette kit? Either way, it IS lookin pretty cool!
  12. WOW, John, whooda thunk all those parts could blend so nicely?!? But then, that's wat putty's for! The side profile looks all 53 Buick ish, but the rest of it just flows SOOOO smoothly it looks like it SHOULD look like that! Welp,John, This looks like ANOTHER fine build you've gotten us into! GREAT work so far!!!
  13. Ahhhh Yes, I once had an 82 Beauville window van as a work car. Man that thing was a BIG Ol' thang!!!! But she ran like a clock! I STILL see it occasionally, all rusted out now, but she's STILL runnin! IF you could find a AMT window van, all you'd need to do is change tha grille! It'd save ya the hassle of cuttin the windows out.
  14. Got my sample Saturday. Three sheets of different densitys, they came in less than 3 days after I ordered them! Nice stuff too, looks like it might have ALOT of different uses! Can't really beat it for free!
  15. Hey Mark! welcome to the forum.
  16. Oh YEAH, I KNOW Ish is gonna be REAL happy about THIS!!!!
  17. Tom, those kits are popped from the ORIGINAL molds AMT made back in 1963! The ONLY difference, over the years, is the metal axles that hold the wheels on. The early ones were the usual thin wire axles that we're all familiar with, and some of the later releases, the Model King in particular, have very THICK metal axles. I have a few of them and MAYBE some of the custom stuff may have been omitted, but that's about it. Hope this helps.
  18. WoW EvE, HOODA THUNK????? You dun GOOD homie, and I am PROUD of yer ol crazy self! You showed ALOT of guys here that you ARE the kinda guy we knew ya were! If you applied yourself to your school work the way you did your models, you got nowhere to go but UP!!!! Congrats Bro, I'm wishin nuthin but the best for ya!!!
  19. Well, Craig, now that we CAN see the pictures, it came out great! VERY nice paint job!
  20. Now THERE'S a model ya DON'T see built up alot! It looks good! Kinda different ta see one built as a regular Rebel, as opposed to a "The Machine". It looks REAL nice Roge, GREAT job!
  21. Brad, they probably sold those engines to Lancia. If that's the case, they STILL by law, would hafta mention that they ran Ferrari engines. But CAN they just buy the basic chassis from Ferrari an put THEIR bodies on 'em an call them Lancias???
  22. Nope, Gary. The 69 Elky was a ONE year only kit. The 68 is a BRAND NEW mold with not alot of parts that'll evenly interchange. If ya got one, hang on to it, caz like ya said, they're pretty rare nowdays. i have an original kit,but i probly won't build it caz it still too pretty in the box. Maybe someone out there'll get lucky when I'm gone!
  23. Welp, at least I got it right! About dam time!!!
  24. If it's built off a FERRARI, HOW can Lancia call it THEIR own? Ferrari's lawyers musta not heard about it yet.
