  1. Are these like Drag Hydro's or those freaky little course drivein boats? Either way YOU guys are NUTS on the water!!!!
  2. Oh, and Bill, UNLESS you got your 61 A LOOOOOONG time ago,(1996) you shouldn't be running into a recalled kit UNLESS you buy it inadvertently/proposely on line. The newer ones are all fine.
  3. Allen? Nope, George53. But anyways, Nope sorry, can't post pics ,but I DO have both the "Recalled Kit' and the retooled one and the only difference i can see, is on the recall, it has a small Lindburg logo just to the left of the bar code marking on the box end. The stock nu. is the same on both kits. The RE TOOLED kit has the Lindburg Logo at the FAR LEFT of the side of the box, a Skil Level 2 indicator, and THEN the bar code. The Re called kit has a white box/red end stripe, red car on the cover, the Re tooled kit has a grey shaded box with the same red car on it. Like I said, both build up nice.
  4. I had no idea this existed! And I'm sure I'll never see another one done as NICELY as this! A VERY GOOD looking build!
  5. Dam Foxman, I had a GMC Beauville van the same dark blue, with a lighter blue band around the midsection. Wasn't till I saw pics of the dash that it hit me it was a GMC van! Somehow I had remembered it as a Chevy!. You did a HECKAVA job on this rascal! I'd be durned PROUD of this lil Bad Boy!
  6. Maybe if you used some really thin plastic rod, you could mushroom the ends of them with heat to hold them in place on the hinge points?
  7. SAE back when Gary Schmit used to own it printed a whole series of "How To Books" for modelers. The covered Paint, Customs Dioramas and trucks. Even Nascar! They are a very good source of info for tips udeas an other goodies. They're pretty good refference material, an should be still able to find if ya ask the guys on here! Hth.
  8. Had a triple black 69 Charger R/T with Ansen's on it, just like that. Yours looks GREAT!
  9. Dean's Hobby Stop, here in Michigan, buys large lots too. He advertises in the mag. Real nice guy too.
  10. Anna, the VERY early issues of that kit WERE kinda "Twonked". They had a windsheild/cowl area that was more rounded that it SHOULD have been. It was released LIKE THAT. When the buying public informed Lindburg their mistake, they REMOVED it and RE TOOLED it to it's proper, present form. BOTH kits build up VERY nicely, and ,to be honest with you, they BOTH LOOK good when done. If you weren't told, or didn't really know WHAT a REAL 61 Impala looked like, you probably wouldn't tell.It was only the HARDTOP, the Convert came out AFTER the retooling, so it's cool.
  11. WOW,Ceasar, you REALLY set a high bar with THIS rascal! How ya gonna top it? It came out GREAT!
  12. Same thing i was thinking. Or is it a 32nd scale military chassis? either way it's starting off pretty good. No hurry, but keep us updated when you can! Thanks!
  13. OWWWWW!!! That thing is soooooo cool ,it HURTS!!!! GREAT execution of an excellent idea! This lil putt is to be FEARED!!!!
  14. Rob, I didn't know what to expect. This was TOO COOL! how tall are these guys? Are they Star Wars sized? Are they 25th? What ever they are, they're COOL!
  15. Gotta agree. The old AMT kit DOES have problems with the front end. It has NEVER looked right. Headlights just seemed too small. The New Revell 62 kit is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the ol AMT junk. You'd be better off just buyin the slick and tire kits instead of wasteing your money on that 40 yr old AMT kit!
  16. It DID come out REALLY nice! The chop is PERFECTION! Never saw a modern V-8(OHV)with only three exhast ports,I've only seen flatties like that, but still it looks GREAT!
  17. Don't know ya Dr.Kerry, but THAT'S the RIGHT prescription for ANY tuner!! i REALLY like the Honda/Vette! BEST thing that could EVER happen to a honda!!!!!!
  18. GREAT color! The 37 sedan is my favorite 30's Ford. Yours came out REAL nice!!!
  19. You'll need to mod the 71 Duster chassis to fit the old MPC Demon body, but it WILL fit. I've already done it with the original Demon kit. IF you use the Duster kit to mod it, you can decide if you want the Duster interior or use the original Demon interior. If you use the Demon interior, you MUST grind down the Dusters interior floorpan to get everything to fit properly. But it CAN be done! It looks good too!
  20. Briz, didja MAKE the crazy boi's mask, or did ya mod a 53/54 Chevy front end to make it? Either way, It's just TOO COOL! You GO VooDoo Vette!!!!!
  21. Believe me Cuz, I'm thinkin there's MORE than enough interest to go ahead and Pop those two kits too! It's YOU aftermarket guys that keep us alive with the REALLY interesting models! I can buy plastic kits all day, but YOU give me somethin i REALLY want! Like good drugs 'er sumpthin, I jus cain getta nuff!!!!! You GO Cuz, an let me know when my Grand Am is ready!!!!
  22. Yeeesh, I'm thinkin you could BUY that crappy Monogram AAR Cuda JUST for the hood scoop to mold it into the truck hood and it STILL wouldn't cost 22 bucks. AND you'd have the whole rest of the kit for parts!
  23. For a HOOD????? PT's a HAPPY fellow!!!!
  24. Very pretty, but really, it's just another 40 Ford. The Rumbler, from a few yeas ago was more like it. TOTALLY unique, it was a 60 or so Rambler American WAGON mixed with a Ferrari engine an running gear. To me THAT is where these prises belong. ADVANCED creative ideas, that help move the hobby ahead. I've seen enough 40 Fords to last a lifetime. Make them UNIQUE, THAT'S what the Ridler ALWAYS stood for. But it DOES gotta NICE paint job.
  25. I had read that because it had NO rear suspension to speak of, it was impossible to ride in. It was too jarring an effect to go on longer rides in. So he just parked it.
