  1. I GOTTA agre with Drew and Dave! I been with mine for 41 years, and she has helped me change engines, transmissions, and can shift a mean 4 speed! I have NEVER been relegated to the couch (or anywhere else) because of a car!!!!!
  2. Jimmy IS a REALLY nice likeable guy. I talk with him EVERY time I see him at our Bi Annual Toy show. He was ALWAYS 10 bucks for a simple body, but at this last one, his prices went up to 15. Not bad if yo DON'T mind doin a bit of grinding an thinning of the bodies. All in all, he does give a decent buy for the money, plus as I said, he IS a really niceguy.
  3. Izzat Sting ridein in the passenger seat????
  4. Jeff, Ok I promise ta leave YOUR tubes alone. Mr. Lonely Tubes.
  5. It helps knowin the location of the secret Batcave! Can't wait ta see what's in the tubes!
  6. Oh yeah, Richard, go head an do a trailer too! That is one cool little truck! You dun good!
  7. Tom, there just ain't no way ta tell a person's upbringin. Just glad that move was for the better. When they moved to Sylvania from Toledo, we got a much bigger, better lit area. It was for the better too, I think.
  8. Looking at the size of the pavers, I'd say it's 1/18 th scale? It's VERY nice. Those CMC models are the Cat's patoot!
  9. From Detroit to Toledo. What? a hundred miles or so? Now it's Detroit to Sylvania, an extra 10 miles or so.
  10. Dam Lo-Lo, you aboutta plastic cuttin dude, ain'tcha? So far i can see where your comin from, goin with this. Looks VERY interesting!
  11. Happy birthday, Anne! You don't look a day older than you did yesterday!
  12. 'At's the ol CAN DO attidute, Mike! It's only plastic(or Die Cast in THIS case!)an it shouldn't be nuthin to mod. Like I said, YOU can do it,bro!!!!
  13. It came out BEAUTIFULLY! It was always a beautiful car, and you've built a beautiful copy of it!
  14. Just went an checked it out Lee, and 69 WAS the last year a 4 cylinder was available. Thanks for the info, I didn't know that!
  15. I THINK the LAST year they put a 4 cyl. in a Nova was in 68, my cousin had one, but I've NEVER seen another, 68 OR 69.
  16. Foxman, it looks like if you just set the grille more vertical between the headlights might be enough to do it. So wats a little filein an cuttin? You can do it bro!
  17. OOooo I can see what you mean about the pigmentation! pictures have a way, but i do see what you mean. Still, it is a nice color. Wonder if thinning it any would make a difference?
  18. Got one at last Sundays Show here in Deeeetroy. It's a REALLY nice casting guys. and it fit to the chassiis /interior pan like it came with the kit! This ones a real winner Kev! (Like if the rest of his stuff isn't! LoL!)
  19. Charlies right. Other than subject matter, the two are light years aparts. R&R's products can't compare to Motor City Resins castings, which are pretty much state of the art as far as casting goes. Your station wagons comming out nice considering what you started with. Oh, an just in case you weren't aware of it, Steve Kohler runs Star Models, he DOESN'T cast. AND he's a really good guy!
  20. WoW! Whooda thunk? That is some REAL out the box thinkin, very impressive! So far so good, it is lookin feasable, if a little different!
  21. Other than Revell's Mark VIII, I can't think of ANY modern kits of ANY Mark. And yes, they were BEAUTIFUL cars!
  22. I bought this kit brand new, and it HAS gotten run down since then, but then havent we all? The original kit's interior was rather shallow, but you can fix that by scribeing the floor out and then just glueing some flat sheetstock on. Sounds trivial, but it DOES make a diffrence. The Grille has buggy headlights. The originals were much nicer. The nice fine detail is gone from the real tailight valance too. All in all, for what it's molding's been thru, it still holds up pretty good as a good representation of what it's supposed to be.I honestly have about 5 of them, built and unbuilt. You did a pretty nice job with what you had! Came out real nice!
  23. Anne, it's all just part of the addiction. Don't worry, you'll be ok. But it DOES NOT EVER go away. Just get used to it, and enjoy it!!!
  24. It came out VERY nicely,Mike! You REALLY researched this one WELL! it's GREAT!!!! LOVE you Euro builders, you guys build some KILLER models! (like THIS one!)
  25. Gotta hand it too ya, it came out REAL good!!!! Stuntman Mike would REALLY like it!!!
