Gabe, My buddy is building this car for a club build. He just cut the front springs, and layed the rear end right up against the chassis. It sat REALLY nice too. Didn't actually pick it up to look( i don't like touching guy's finished builds. I'd rather THEY show it to me)but that's how he explained it. I understand the concept so I'm good with it, it's not just a hacked up job.
Thank you for putting a driver in it Ira. I was haveing a bit of a problem trying to gauge it's scale. I'm assumeing it's 24th,25th scale or maybe 1/20th? Either way , you sir, are a REAL modeling nut!!!! I LOVE this flight of fancy!
If ya could take the scoops off the hood, then it REALLY woulda been a sleeper! GREAT "Granny" color, and the doggie dishes REALLY kick it off! REALLY cool lookin build!
Shane, watever color you did it, it STILL woulda been a monster! The color combo is PERFECT! VERY nicely done, you should be proud of it! i LIKE it!!!!
After this long my wife and daughter ask me what I want,I tell them, and they go out and find it. I believe my daughter has a direct line to E-Bay or something, she finds ANYTHING there!
My first car was a 52 Chevy DeLuxe! There WAS a small 1/4 round molding that went inside the window, all the way around. You may just want to build up the "tray's" where the dash ends meet the interior walls. Maybe you could add thin sheets of .0010 to the upper edge of the dash, till you close the gap to your likeing.
MPC 71,2,4 Camaro seat. I have these seats in both yellow plastic(Original) and white plastic also original, so I don't know EXACTLY what year it goes to. But it IS an MPC seat.
REAL nice weathering on the lil loader Chuck! i have a few of those 25th scale industrial loaders, fork lifts, etc. They're cool. I'd LOVE to weather some of them like yours!
Thanks for the pics Richard! I'd never seen a rear end traction set up like this till now. Makes sense though, a set up like this would allow the chassis to ride lower thus improveing the C/G. Cool!
Too Camaro-ish lookin from the front or rear. Looks like a 2000 or so Camaro from the front, too 2012 Camaro from the rear. I don't care for it. As was stated, it should be a style SETTER, NOT a copier.
WOW Pat! Honestly bro, I think ANY color you paint it would go with it, it's THAT nice! It's been GREAT watchin this rascal come to being. learned stuff too, and it's not over yet! Great thread Pat, GREAT model, don't stop now!
I went Saturday morning to get groceries at our Miejers and they only had about 7 different kits, in the 19.99 to 21.99 range AND they were buy TWO get one free. Not at those prices. I can get a better selection at Micheals or Hobby Lobby and with the coupon I can get them for as low as 15 bucks.
Bill,Bill,Bill, PLEASE don't punish yourself that way bro, if you need help, just send me a coupla cases and I'll help ease your torment. This I'll do for you because I value your freindship!!!!!!
Mike, Nascar stock cars of that era were REAL street cars just modified for raceing. You'd never need the stock interior as ALL of that area of the car was completely gutted to save weight.
