  1. Get a hold of Kris Morgan over at MAD/DRAG, and ask him. He has a few trannys available, but I don't know if he has THAT particular trans, but it is worth the try. Plus, he's a GREAT caster. Check out his pre wired dizzy's! THEY are tha MOOK!!!!!
  2. Jeff, quit sniffin the resin ;)
  3. Rich, you were asking about the hood. Well, if you notice it isn't quite a long as it should be. Actually, It's the hood from the Daytona Charger, NOT a stock 68/9 hood. But they were too cheap to fix it before they changed the body molds. Add about a 1/16th or so to the front edge, and then file/sand it to shape. Be careful as you trim it, as you DO need to keep the center line down the middle of the hood. See what I mean about this kit? It's gotta lotta dum things wrong with it, that COULD'VE EASILY been fixed before it was released.Another thing is the split rear valance. Never understood that move either. Oh well....
  4. Sorry for the loss of you freind, Christian. RIP Stephan.
  5. The first ones DO look like MPC Pontiac wheels. The second one came from the late 60's MPC Mopar kits. I remember that star on the cap from about 66 from the MPC Dodge Monaco kit. Hope this helps,Danny.
  6. Wad i tell ya Rick, Ain't these folks THE BEST???? Thanks, Michelle, that was REALLY appericiated!!!! Your tha BEST! ;)
  7. Michelle, can you run a pic of an AMT 68/9/70 Roadrunner based mopar kit so Rick can see what kit(s) to look for. Or anyone, please?
  8. THAT'S a million dollar question Rich. No,my freind, I unfortunately can't post pics except under certain conditions(like someone ELSE doin it for me!!!!), BUT our other forum brothers ARE quite adept at it and anyone of the know what kit I'm reffering to. Guys can any one of you run a pic of any one of the AMT ERTL 68 RR, 69 GTX, and 70 Super Bee kits for our "Across the Pond" brother???? Not to worry Rich, SOME one WILL come thru, watch!
  9. Rich, man, I didn't know you we'ren't HERE. I just saw your in England, sorry for the comment brother. It might be to hard to find the AMT ERTL 68/69/70 Roadrunner Super b kit. It comes with a much more detailed chassis. It can even be made to steer. It might be cost prohibitve to do something like that over there. Here, you can find that kit VERY cheaply, and you might not be able to over there. That being said, your kit there should come with metal rear axle and plastic pins for the front. You can probably rework the axle shafts and front mounting pins to get them big ol rascals to fit, but your right, they sure do go with the idea of the build!
  10. My feelings EXACTLY, IN THAT order!!!!! Those two movies inspired all the rest. Maybe there are some that MAY be better, but these two bad boys started the musclecar chase craze. Two Lane Blacktop was a lame flick, but it too was a good 'period"movie, with the cars an all. Bill, That Video blew me away!!! THAT was a FUNNY mug!!!! I LOVED it!!!!
  11. Unique car that Charger 500. Too bad Revell didn't try doing this one too off their 69 Charger tool. Use the Daytona rear body with the stock street cars front end (with Coronet grille), an they'da had a MUCH nice kit than the silly mishmash of parts that make up that kit. Your doing a GREAT job of turning a sows ear into a GREAT build! Color is VERY nice on it. If you DO use the Roadrunner/SuperB chassis on it, it'll go a LOOOOONG way towards improveing your hard work on that old warrior!!!
  12. ahh, there's one born EVERY minute.
  13. There's a Clark station not 1/4 mile from me. We've had Clark gas here in Detroit since the 70's, maybe earlier. But i DO remember when they built one on the corner of Outer Drive and Jefferson, in Ecorse in 69 or 70. That rascals still there too!
  14. John, the thinner the foil, the sharper the image can be. I use the foil off a Nestle's Crunch Bar,or Hershey Kisses. It's nice an thin, picks up the detail VERY nicely when burnished, and the candy's not bad either!
  15. How did i miss this for 3 pages????? It's BEAUTIFUL, Tom!!!! for every bad 350 SS Nova out there, there were TEN of these!!! GREAT build Daddy-O! Can't help but smile at it!!!!! ;)
  16. THANKS, LoLo, that was some GOOD info! The metalflake in the orange paint looked just a tad too big, but the rest of those colors seemed perfectly in scale, as far as the metalflake goes. Nice colors too! THANKS!
  17. I've got two of the old Hess "Trainig Vans" that are or at least measure out to 25th scale, but i really don't think they stick to one particular scale for their promotional items. Like Tommy said, they come in all sizes.
  18. I actually saw one of these toolin south on I-75 quite a few years ago, on the way to Florida! I was told they were based on a Pontiac Bonneville Chassis. It also looked a little worse for wear. Guess Balogna don't take to sun fade too well!
  19. I bought Ron's Excavator and his chopped 41 Chevy coupe, an NEITHER one of those looked ANYTHING like that. Both were VERY cleanly cast and smooth. That IS rather ruff lookin if i say so myself.
  20. Don, useing a brush woulda left marks anyway. The only way to get CHROME is to send that rascal out. Sorry, but that's it. Yeah, I know, THAT'S a drag!
  21. Rich, R&D Unique left us about two years ago now. Gerry still posts here occasionally, but i do not believe they are filling orders anymore. Too bad too, caz they had some REALLY nice conversion parts and kits. I got their 67 Lola T-70 coupe, MAN is that a NICE full kit! Hopefully MAYBE someday they'll come back.
  22. Chris, try this gentleman. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Model-Car-Junkyard His name is Jim, and he has all kindsa old used parts, he MIGHT have watcha need. I've gotten grilles, bumpers, and even hubcaps from him,and he is very reasonable with his prices.Hope this helps.
  23. Actually, Chris, those look like plain ol chromie wheels with a small custom hubcap. The WHEELS won't be hard to get at all, it's that center cap that's gonna get ya! MAYBE if ya look around, you could find an old custom hubcap that could be modded. Good luck.
  24. Scott, I have one, but it IS rather technical to use. If you follow the directions and do them EXACTLY as the say, you CAN make some very nice PE peices. You WILL mess a few up before you get good at it, and it REALLY helps if you can use photo-shop on your computer.to make the master etchings. I bought mine about 3 years ago, when they FIRST started selling them, and I still am learning it. And be VERY carefull with the Photo Etch agent, as it is VERY castic to skin!!!!!!!! Hope this helps.
  25. Jake, it SEEMS like they BEEN on strike for YEARS! Their postal system flat out sucks dude. Too bad too, cause I've done alot of tradeing to Canada. Where it takes two days to go from Detroit to Tampa Florida, It takes a WEEK and a HALF to get from Detroit to Saskatchewan!!!! THAT is a joke. Those poor folks GOTTA deal with it cause that's all they got. I do NOT envy them.
