  1. First I would have to see if the amt '55 sedan body would work with the revell '55 chevy kit as I would want to have all three cars to be sedan's....
  2. Sadly my Grandpa passed away in May 1975. My dad ended up with the pickup which he kept a few years then sold it. It really was the Only FORD pickup I ever liked so Here is my Late Grandpa's '65 Ford F-100 (pre damage copy) the real pickup had right rear quarter panel damage . My grandpa said that it was damage when he was backing a trailer..
  3. Both are Revell, and painted the same Mythical Maroon/ Metallic Silver. The '56 Del Ray is based on some pictures of a real '56 del ray that I found while doing a image search. The '57 was just a idea I had to do a matching pair. Body paint wise...
  4. I like the short cuts clear a lot, been using it for about 6 years or so. Seem's to play nice with testors paint's as well as Dupli color paints. Most of the time I use Short cuts gloss white as a base coat under the Dupli color paint's, and never had a bad reaction to doing that pain't wise.. And for all those who left so many kind remark's I thank you all!!
  5. Is it just me or do the '65 Impala and the '68's front look a lot alike? with just a few minor changes on the '68.
  6. Yes it is the Super Natural kit, Just I wanted a factory stock copy, Plan on getting at least two more of them! One to make a stock non SS two door, and One to make as a Promo "Curbside" out of.
  7. Bought from Mikes Decals, and arrived days after ordered. It is painted with Dupli color GM paint, and Krylon short cut's clear coat. The steel wheel's are from a revell '56 Chevy Del Ray kit, and the Tires came from an amt kit. The dog dish hub caps are from a Revell '57 Chevy 150. Otherwise box stock build..
  8. Just bought one from Mikes Decals total:$34.40 shipped. should have it fairly soon as It was shipped out today..
  9. I know. Plans are: Bonneville, body to remain the way it came. Interior will be blue. The Cadillac repaint the same color as it was, and just clean the interior. The Buick will also be a total repaint body wise, Close to the color that it came to me in. All three will be restored, and placed in my collection..
  10. The onse with the skull over the checkered flag appear to be made for a '30's ford coupe??? the rectangle pinstripe set would cover the canvas roof area???
  11. found on the web, say's the ones with the skull/checkered flags is a rare set from 1960 and worth $20.00 by their selves??
  12. What year was that issued Casey??
  13. Found out the one with the skull's over the checkered flag is a rare set from a Jo Han kit made in 1960. So I'm thinking that the set with the # 68's maybe either Jo Han ,smp or amt. ones..
  14. I bought this almost 9 years ago in a box of old Johan parts, a Johan insturction sheet from the 60's Generic three cars on it, Plus some vintage decal's Who made this kit and when was it first Issued???
  15. I have three sets of some very old decal set's First set: Made by Del-D-Cal MFG.Co # 9216_LW3P. they have skull's over checkered flags, Custom Special , Gator on a set of wheels, pin striping and 6 small flames.... Set #2 Polycal "N" NA-27091 set of four flames....... Set #3 The Palm Brothers Decalcomania Co. GL-51144 Checkered flags, Fuel injection, Air Lift, 300 H.P. 400 H.P. blank champion spark plug bowtie in oval And the number 68.... what kit's did these go to, and how rare are these????
  16. My gr My grandpa's truck was a custom cab, no side trim , It was red .... simular to the pic but red with white bumpers and grill. Standard dash like the one i posted..
  17. I was implying that since the tail gate looks to be for an 80-86 that this might be a sign that the next pickup might be from the early 80's On another note I wish they would have two dash choices for the 65/66 F-100 . This is like the one my grandpa's '65 f-100 had in it.
  18. I bought the '65 f-100 long bed kit, it has three tail gates included along with three air cleaners. But the one tail gate look's to be for an '80-86 . Found a pic of a real tail gate via the internet that looks just like the third one in the kit. So maybe an 80-86 F-150????
  19. The windshield would work with a little alteration, Back window will not work as the Bonneville's glass is a different shape
  20. Snake I would think that would also work in that '67
  21. looks like were doing this again. The subject is about Hobby lobby reopening
  22. After some trial and error I found the best fitting replacement glass for a MPC'68 Impala. MCW (model car world) suggested using the glass from the AMT'67 Impala on their resin bodies. I found that the glass from the Revell '65/66 Impala's work much better, In fact they fit the car without any problem. No cutting to fit like that from the AMT '67. Note: this is for the windshield and rear window's Only the vent window's can be made by hand. This is a true MPC '68 Impala body with the Revell '66 Impala glass put in. which fit the mpc body like the original glass would. Bonus is you get the sun visors and can mount a rearview mirror on it as well.
  23. Paint, glue.Molotow 4mm, and Evergreen sheet's all from Hobby Lobby!
  24. Lima Ohio Hobby Lobby Opened Tuesday! I needed some items so I hit there today, and was surprised to find they are selling evergreen products!
