  1. I had gotten this Convertible from a good friend who sent me it along with a hard top copy. The Convertible was hand painted Orange when I got it, and luck fully it also came with the windshield and frame (the windshield frame was removed). The body went into some paint remover, and the interior was taken apart for painting as the interior wasn't painted at all. I'm currently working on getting the needed parts to finish the Hard top copy. So here is my MPC 1969 Chevrolet 427 Impala Convertible.
  2. This is my first try with making a diorama.
  3. I know that Chevrolet sold some Tribute Dale Jr cars, And so I decided to do a Richard Petty Tribute car using a Monogram 71 Plymouth GTX.
  4. Well here A package goes again! When USPS does shipping wrong they do it big time, And this one's a dilly! I bought a 1/24 Coca cola Machine on ebay a few day's ago Which had left Jersey city N.J. then on to Columbus Ohio, and I thought ok Should get here Friday. Wrong! The thing went to Stanford Ct, and today it's back in Jersey City N.J.!!!! USPS where Priority shipping can be Inferour shipping!
  5. These were the only ones I found but not in primer
  6. Why not reissue the Silverado (1988-97) which would include the 454 SS, The snap duelly's ect. And FYI the Coca Cola Ford ranger would not look like what the box art show's but more like this picture.
  7. Nice, They have a Real one of them at the National air Museum in Dayton Ohio......
  8. Now that there need's to be a kit! Only would need some different parts to be either, a Chevrolet,Pontiac, or Oldsmobile ,as well as your Buick there
  9. This is the '57 Chrysler 300 -c that was kit bashed with my '59 Imperial. The 300-c has the interior, chassis, wheel's and tires from the '59 . The '57 retained it's dash, but has the 59's steering wheel.
  10. With all the new safety features on the new car's I think NASCAR could/should start a new type of race. These would be special event type races, and would be 10-15 races per year. The cars would all be either late 1969- 1974 Vintage looking auto's with the retro also being the colors/numbers of each car The whole set up could be called NASCAR Classic series. what do you fella's think? I talking about when the cars looked like these.
  11. I bought the new reissue of the '59 Imperial, and seeing the shallow interior there was no way I would build it as a convertible. Instead I bought a AMT '57 Chrysler 300-C , and used the chassis ect to improve the '59 Imperial. Being that the car would now have an engine I decided to open the hood as well. The '57 also gave the inner fenders ect to the '59 Imperial as well. I used the dash of the '59 but with the steering parts from the '57 added to it.
  12. I bought a copy of the '59 Chrysler a few weeks ago, with that shallow interior it makes it hard to do the convertible. With that said, On the E Bay for a '57 Chrysler 300 c, and that arrived last week. Now the '59 has a better interior/Chassis, and not wasting anything the '57 300 has the '59's Chassis/interior.
  13. Got back from a flea market that is on the first Sunday of every month. It opens at 8 a.m. till 3 p.m. These followed me home, And the Elliott trailer is complete but missing the instructions . I put a post in the wanted section to get parts for the Firebird, and two of the corvette's.........
  14. Ft.Wayne Indiana, has the '59 but not the '60 chevy pickup. Lima Oh also has the '59 but no 60 pickup, However I did score a Foose Cadillac for $7.49 it was the only clearance kit they had.
  15. I have seen some kits listed as NOS ( NEW OLD STOCK).
  16. The process was rather easy heat from a lighter and bending it by hand/and small sprew cutter's. The roll back is a die cast bought off ebay. Made the back story up about Sears Point , But being a road course race one never know's.
  17. While racing at Sears Point International raceway, Kyle was clipped on the right rear by Johnny Benson. Benson had a tire go down which forced him into Petty's car, and caused Petty to lose control. Petty glanced off a retaining wall smashing the left front of his #44 Pontiac.
  18. Yes the 90's retooled , the frame is a seperated part from the floor pan.
  19. Krylon short cuts Satin cactus green (SCS-086) And clear coated with Krylon short cuts clear coat.
  20. AMT/ERTL Retooled copies. two issues of these in the same box art .
  21. Nope I think 62 of them is enough for now , And that's just the 1/25 scale part of the collection. I have 3 of the 1/16, 1- 1/18, 7 -1/64 ,and 3- 1/87 scale. Of the 1/25 scale there are the Bel-Air Sedan & Coupe's 2 & 4 door's ,Two-Ten Sedan,150 Sedan 2 & 4 door's, Nomad and Bel Air wagon. All that would be left would be a Bel-air 4 door sedan , 150 Handy man wagon, 210 wagon, and a sedan delivery.
  22. Both were built at the same time.
  23. Just before the second suspension attachment area. I then used the second axle for the drive axle on this Ford.
  24. And I found a good way to use the box part from the kit as well.
  25. Cat V-175 V-8 Which was available on the L-700 truck.
