Someone paid $600 for a '68 Coronet Yikes!
ranma replied to Bills72sj's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Really? I heard that the '67 became the '68 as they share the basic body shape. Where as the '69 is totally different in body design even the roof is different from those of a '68 -

I don't think that any model companies made a 1/25 1952 Chevy Bel-air. I know lindberg has a 1/32 '52 but nothing like it for 1/25, and to make a '52 you would have to get resin conversion parts for a '52. The 68 Impala molds either were scrapped, lost or damaged, and the '69 Impala molds were changed into the '70 Impala. -
Vince, sorry to hear that you lost your wife to cancer. I hope she didn't suffer to much before her passing. I lost a Aunt, a Sister, and my dad to cancer. My aunt's cancer went to her brain, My sister passed with cervical that spread from her uterus. Then my dad had a blood born cancer. I also lost my wife 6 years ago as of December 28 Th , She passed away from complication due to a mix of renal failure, congestive heart failure, and being a diabetic didn't help.

From Toledo's toy show yesterday. Now to find the parts needed to finish the two resin Chevy '71 Impala/ '73 Caprice. The Edsel wagon cost me only $20.00, and is a very nicely built resin model.

Yes they are LARGE as the red Corvette is sitting on a box top that is covering a Ertl 1/16 Peterbilt truck.

International 4070 A & Transtar II
ranma replied to ranma's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yes I got extremely lucky. On August 4, I bought a built 4070 that came with it's box, Instruction sheet, and Tech data sheet for $10.00 Then not even a week later I bought the second Transtar 4070 A for $20. Partially built, and The Transtar II $45.00 was factory sealed. The 4070 box is rough but has both the instructions, and data sheet as well. -

That one on ebay sold for the High bid of $175.00! -
Believe it or not this one actually started out cheap with a price of $2.00 , and with less than 45 min left on the auction $175.00... I feel really blessed Though because I bought one last Sunday (built) which I paid $10 for. Then on August 10, I bought another 4070 and paid $20.00 for that copy, and it was started (frame, engine, and rear axles/wheels) Cab and all the chrome parts were un touched.
