    BMW Z8

Nice Build!!! My cousin had a Z8 until his wife backed over it with her Hummer H2 and totalled it. She now drives a VW Jetta.
  2. Beautiful build!!! I love the mural
  3. That is paint, polish and then paint. I always use 2400 cloth on bare plastic prior to 1st coat of paint. I never tried Novus on bare plastic before painting though.
  4. I use Novus #2 for polishing before painting my final coat. Never had a problem with paint sticking. Novus can be found at good LHS and glass stores that sell plexiglas.
  5. I have the promo version in Grey with a black to top. Not in mint condition, but good. I played with these as a kid. I must of like this one because I didn't blow it up. My promo has the correct wheels and does not have a friction motor.
  6. The best engine detail for a 928 and 928S from 77 to 86 is the Tamiya model. Later models, the 928S4, 928GT and the 928GTS had a different engine design. Hope this helps.
  7. Carl, That is beautiful!!!
  8. I had a 79 Mustang Ghia with a 3 speed manual with overdrive, I ran it like a 4 speed. The performance exhaust tone was only available on a 302 with a stick or a turbo. My 83 GT convertible was 302 with a 4 speed. 85 was the first year for the Mustang GT to come with stainless steel headers. My 85 SVO had the option delete package and dealer installed roll bar. When the SVO was introduced in 84, there was a switch on the console a advance the smart and adjusted the engine when switched on for premium fuel. This was the only year to have a manual switch, later years the computer made the adjustment.
  9. Excellent workmanship!!! Love the color.
  10. Great builds!!!
  11. If you need reference photo's, I have a 1:1 in my garage. Al
  12. Perfect period custom!!! Excellent paint!!!
  13. Excellent colors and build!!!
  14. That is beautiful. I almost bought it, but their American cars keep me spending my money.
  15. Thank you everyone.Skip, this was built prior to my stroke. I have built quite a few cars since the stroke, all curbside though. It keeps my mind and hands working. I'm going start a physical therapy class with building model cars. Anyone can join for free, you just have come to North Jersey. Al
  16. Tom, Isn't that the one of a kind factory prototype of the steel Vette. Great recreation. Love it. Al
  17. Very nice job!!! I'm building a stock verison now. Love this car.
  18. Thanks everyone This a fun build for me. The engine detail is quite good. With a liitle more paint detail than I did, it can be outstanding. Your lucky to catch one my builds with an engine, I usually build curbsides. Al
  19. Being in high school from 70 to 74 and driving dad's 72 Country Sedan. These were not very popular for teens and 4 doors were not a car to be seen driving. Today I would give anything for any station wagon or 4 doors. Times have changed. Al
  20. Beautiful workmenship!!!
  21. Excellent Build!!! The front fenders are still on, it's not a Chicago car.
  22. Nice job!!! I have 4 of these and all of them are warpped.
  23. Another American Excellence resin. This one is a real stunner. Silver body, vinyl top and burgandy leather interior. Checkout the pin stripping and photo etched work. I wish someone would do this in 1:25 resin or plastic. Enjoy, I am. Al
  24. Love it, Love it!!! Another beautiful job Alan!!!
