  5. Very nicely done!!! Great color.
  6. Excellent build!!! There are a lot of beautiful slot cars with excellent detail that can be converted. Monogram makes some great replica's and you can useally find them cheap.
  7. Here's one. The tip of my instant glue got clogged and I didn't have anything sparp to clear it. So I put the tube between my teeth and pulled. Took me a hour to get the glue off the back of my teeth and tongue. Even worse, I do it all the time.
  8. When I was in NW of Chicago in January, I stop by a hobby shop I went to as a kid. They had this for $60.00 plus shipping to my home NJ. When it came I just knew It had to be Glen Green. So I had a friend mine at a local bodyshop mix the paint and then had a local company put the paint in spray cans. Since the body was red, I sprayed 5 coats of Dupli-color sealer-primer, 6 coats of Glen Green and 3 cans of Testors Wet Look cear. Next I used my polishing cloths, 1800 to 12,000 and polished it with Maguires New Car Glaze #5 to a mirror finish. The interior is done in saddle tan from Tamiya. The chassis was very warpped on the right front side, so I cut a V in each side of the chassis so the it would flex. This worked very well, I'll use some sheet plastic to strengthen it when I get the proper stance. This a work in progress. Let me know how it looks so far of any comment, good or bad. Al
  9. Ray, I did those things also. Have you ever started to spray and realize the nozzle was backwards and painted your hand?
  10. Excellent build and color The AMT is nice, but I prefer the Revell.
  11. Very nice build I built this kit as a kid when it was originally produced by IMC. They built very advanced kits for the mid 60's.
  12. Great build. Love your woodgrain!!!
  13. Thanks guys. This is a good kit with no fit issues. Just the way I like em.
  14. That's beautiful!!! What kit was it based on, if any?
  15. Beautiful paint!!!
  16. This one is painted Tamiya's Italian Red, with no clear coat. I tried a photo etched detail kit, but ended up removing it and replacing the emblems with BMF under the paint and wet sanding to bring out the chrome. Much better look, I can't get the photo etch parts to work for me. Could be I can't see that well anymore. Al PS: Harry, I know no rearview mirror. I knocked it off when I was taking the photo's.
  17. Beautiful!!! Just like a Cobra, small sports car and a V8. The ultimate Pocket Rocket!!!!
  18. Just updated my build. This is one of my best paint jobs to date. Hope you like it so far and like your comments on how to add more detail. Al
