Well, here are the pics of the Plymouth parts that I had to redo. And this one is of the engine that I'm going to use. I really like the Alclad chrome. These parts had the chrome plating worn completely off and i had to use the Alclad. The engine is from the parts box and I'm not sure what cubic inch it is. All I kknow is that it is a Mopar engine. I also switched the transmisions. This one has a longer tail and fits the chassis better than the one that was on this engine. More to come later. Dan

WOW, thanks Dave. I have some more pics of this build. I painted the moldings with silver paint instead of using BMF. I didn't want the moldings to be to shiny. I also got the splash pans done along with the bumpers. Here are some pics. Hope ya like. I also used tamiyas smoke to look like a greasy rear end. I'm also plugging up the huge hole in the side of the block and oil pan. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

I got a little more done on the Plymouth. I got all the parts that are supposed to be chrome Alcladed today and I should have more pics up tomorrow. I also have the engine that I'm going to use and it's not a Hemi or the 6 banger. Oh, and it won't be a Chevy engine either. I'll post pics of it tomorrow. Dan

Thanks guys, and Brian, I'm finished with the body now. I painted the chrome with silver paint cause I didn't want the chrome to look to good as it would with BMF. I have done some more work to the interior, splash pans and bumpers. I should have some more pics up tomorrow. Dan

Thanks Foxer. I had the paint in my hand and thought, why not and next thing the Plymouth was Purple. Dan

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm going to do some more "stuff" to the interior, but I don't know what yet. I'm using the two plastic bottles. Here is a pic of what I'm using to rust this. This is the first time that I've used this stuff and I'm hooked on it. More to come Dan

Thanks Ken. I'm working on the interior now. These rebuilds are a lot of work, but I enjoy the challange. Dan

I'm restoring this 41 Plymouth from a really glued glue bomb. It had 4 coats of paint on it with another coat of some kind of clear. I soaked it in the purple pond and also had to soak some parts in brake fluid just to get the coats of paint off. Well, here are some pics These next pics is what the body looks like now. It's Purple. Thanks fer lookin. Dan

Well, this is the first time that I've tried using Sophisticated Finishes rusting product and I'm very happy with the results so far. Here are some pics of the 49 Ford. Hope ya like I got the interior finished and ready to install I'm waiting on the rest of the parts to dry overnight and then I'll rust them up. There are more pics in my Photobucket if you would like to see them. Thanks fer lookin Dan

What's on your playlist?

Me, I like any music that's good. A little "Old" Country, rock and roll, some classic like the William Tell Oveture, but mostly The Ventures. I learned to play the guitar by listening to them and they're still goin strong. They started back in 1960 (some say 1959) Great guitar music. Dan -
I met a bunch of really great guys in the Buckeye Scale Auto Club tonight. I was invited to come and check out the club by MrMike, and I brought along Mark, a friend who wanted to meet you guys also, and we were both very impressed with the comrodery and friendly atmosphere. Allthough I think they belong in an institute Well, I guess they are, sorta, being in a club an all. Really, guys, we had a lot of fun tonight and will return ifin ya can put up with a couple of strangers ogalling (spelling?) over your models. You made us feel right at home. Thanks fer the invite. Dan

By the way, the IPMS here in Columbus Ohio is putting on the nationals here in August I believe. I want to got to that also. I'm a member of the local IPMS here. Hope ta see ya there also if ya can make it. Dan

Very funny, and a good impression of the church lady I might ad. I'm going to send the console and floor shifter along with two sets of mirrors. There are two different styles of mirrors for it. I'll try and send them today or tomorrow, so they should be there in a few days depending on the snail mail guys.

I have a few that I downloaded from the net. Is it ok to post them here or will a person get in trouble for posting stuff from the net? The ones I have are of the dirt track modified cars. If it's OK, I'll post them. Please let me know. Dan -
Now this is one nice 49 Ford. Looks fantastic. I really like it. I'm building one now and it's Black with red wheels. Hot rod from back in the day. How did you BMF the caps and not have any wrinkles in them? Dan
-
I got another coat of primer on it tonight. Maybe I'll get some more done tomorrow. Ok Marshall, I'll send them out as soon as I can. Take care and heal up my friend Dan P.S. I like your Datsun Marshall. It reminds me of another one that I've seen somewhere but I can't remember where. Dan
-
No progress yet Marshall. I got stuck on a couple of other builds, but I'm almost ready to get back to this one. Please do post some pics of yours. I'd like to see what you've done. I also cut the springs at the mounting point and glued them back on. Lowers it a little. Do you need or want the custome outside mirrors? I forgot to send them to you. If you do, I'll send them your way. By the way, how's your hand? I hope you a speedy recovery my friend. Dan

Thanks Matt, and also try the 59 Impala for chrome. I did one of those too and man there is a lot of thin trim on that car also. I really like the BMF, especially when the kit chrome is worn off or wearing off. It's alot cheaper than the alternitive, chrome plating. Dan
-
Thanks Mike. This was only the second time that I used Alclad and I'm sold on it. Dan
-
Yes sir, I sure have mixed the two on a 63 Impala. The grill and bumpers are Alclad and the trim is BMF. Here are some pics. Dan
-
Kinda gives new meaning to the term F.ound O.n R.oad D.ead in these pics. Just kiddin ya. She looks great. I really like the work you've done so far Raul. Keep up the good work. Dan

Thanks guys, you're a great help. Dan

Does anyone here have any information on this show? Like where it is and when? A friend of mine wants to go and I have no clue about it. Dan
