  1. Geez ray , thats an awsomly heavy duty reo . Freightshaker , the australian army had those set back front axle reo's in the 60's-70's . We took them to vietnam and brought them home again , they are now in the hands of private companys . There was one manual and the rest were automatics .
  2. Funny how you can't get on a web site and you keep going back every couple of minutes and then after a day you start to feel the build up of panic . So alls well now i've calm down .
  3. Sharp looking unit , you need to put a dog trailer on it now .
  4. Rest easy old mate.
  5. Hey , i drive one of these without a sleeper and i love it . This a great example of a star great job mate.
  6. G,day , when i used to help a couple of young guys in my area i used to use monogram kits as they were bulky and easy to put together . They dont have any small parts and when there done they look good , so i say go with the monogram kits .
  7. My time came when i was 50 when i climbed under a valueliner mack truck ,simply to re- tighten the speedo tooth counter on the gearbox . Getting in there was easy but when it came time to get out the truck had lost some air so it sat lower . Yer it had done this before and i've just climbed up between the chassis and tailshaft to get out , well just twisting and turning to start to get out i realized , " I'm too old to do this stuff anymore ".
  8. Argh , the mighty 8-71 . I had one in the 70's in a 4070 doin overnight work , loved it and the jake rattling the shop windows early hours of the morning .
  9. G,day mate , i think the one is - The truckstop . http://pete389.proboards.com/index.cgi And here's the pete on the conveyor belt . http://pete389.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=showroom&action=display&thread=5129 I hope this is the one mate , cheers scummy.
  10. Didnt the original have chrome wheels with baby moon caps ?
  11. Alot of modellers here in australia dont have or want kiddie chat line , ( facebook ) so i guess they will just have to read our wants here and on other forums .
  12. In Australia we use them on long haul there's even one doing road train work on outback truckers .
  13. Argh ! It took me a couple of minutes to remember the site that your thinking of . It was takin over by some people on the - baskets by the browns web site and then after it struggled it went off the air . The site had finnished trucks as well as work in progress as well as municiple vehicles - tractors , tow trucks and general fire engines . Pity as it had some great models each month , so it's gone mate sorry to tell you .
  14. Interesting conversion , really good looking truck mate .
  15. The look on his face , " If i don't move , he won't see me ! " Priceless mate , all the best to you and your family for 2013 .
  16. Geez , from what i read from cruz control this is going to be a peice of junk . Maybe you should mail them the parts to show them your not joking them about the warpage . I still got a couple of these from before so i won't be buying any of these warp factor trucks .
  17. G,day , when you click on the photo of the latches they blow up to see them more clearly . They are the type used on mack trucks here in oz .
  18. G,day , dont know if these are to modern for the needle nose pete or not but they are a rubber type of product . http://www.auslowe.com.au/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=23&Itemid=27
  19. Is this the 903 motored kit ? You've built a great looking unit mate .
  20. I gota get me some of those . When they comin out ?
  21. Here in australia the 4070A was a very popular truck but we never got the 4070B . So if round 2 was to try and retool the B back to the A they would sell a few . I know this because everytime one of the A's or parts come up on ebay there's a feeding frenzy .
  22. Thats some serious horsepower , hope the cab can hang on at full throttle ! LOL
  23. G,day , geez i would have thought that the amt one's would have been the second one to go with . Because you have to make up the chassis first and if their not flat and square the whole trucks off . I'd go with the italeri truck as most of them already have the chassis done so he'd only have to build the rest around it .
  24. Love the idea but not sure about the colour - sorry . It really does look great .
