I have a few too. 59 Skyliner (At least 7), 57 Ranchero, 60 (59) Vette) re-tool of the VW 23 Window Samba Van 56 Merc, Ford, Caddy, Lincoln, & Chrysler 1/32's Stock & Custum of both Ford Convert & Chrysler. Volvo F12 Globetrotter Semi tractor. All Revell. Plus Italeri Iveco & Volvo DLK & "US" truck with Baywatch trailer. And Revell boxed Italeri Ford AeroMax semi cab. I have never had a problem with them. And if they are the Only kit of a specific car, I WILL buy them!!

isn't this an Italeri kit in a Revell Of Germany box?

Anyone who has this model and does not like it, I will take it!!

What to use to fill sink holes
Edsel-Dan replied to o-man's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I do the drill out, Evergreen/sprue fill. Materials match -
I love that 65 Fire Chief. But is it really a Galaxie? or a base line Custom? Round tail lights in the bezel say it is a Custom!

I built the Fiber-Optic version of AMT/MPC's Star Wars Star Destroyer. Punched so many holes in the hull, I needed more optics. Started drilling the 1701D for them too, and the Mid-scale 3 ship TOS Trek set for it too. It is Not Wire. it is more like Monofiloment. (Think Clear Fishing line.) And, Yes, You still need a Light source. I have an unbuilt DS9 to get to someday!

Will this have the Stock parts?? If so, I might want one. (Though I still have not finished the original issue stock of this kit!!)

Your command is my Wish.

Want to see a Built one??

I looked at an Opened "Fired Up" Dodge A100 Pickup. It was Molded in yellow. Even the "Flashers" (Rotators) were yellow, not clear yellow or clear red. That is why I did no0t get one then. (Or maybe I never saw a Sealed one!)

I have that one. Curbside kit to say the least!! Looks like it may also have been designed for motor, and maybe headlights!

I have one of the "Boondock Bomber" hardtop re-issues. It had those Friction Promo axles too. Even Promos I have without a friction driver have that type heavy axle. AMT switched plastic in 61, then again in 62. They had to Paint them for Gloss in 61, so changed again to cut that extra step

It was a Full size. Much like the Cruisers here at teh time. And Yes, looked like twin grills. It was definitely Not a Fuselage bodied car. (Satellite) The Pic was a small black & White in a 70-72 era Auto World. It was Identical to the drawing on the kit. The Detroit Tactical unit. That was the Box art on almost every issue. Only the original showed 2 departments on the top, and I believe the other 2 separately on the ends. I believe this was After the redesigned box art with only the Detroit Tactical unit on top I know I should still have that issue, but finding it will be the fun!!!

I remember Auto World showing a Different Fury on the Jo-Han Kit, but I believe it was a 70 or 71 Fury not a 69. I do recall it has twin grills like the Local City cruisers here at the time. They ran Plymouths till getting a Maverick around 74.

I just need to get one. Backdating it to look like what my friend owned should not be too hard. Depending on if the Stylized seat/back rest is Frame or add-on.

They offered both a Coupe & a Convertible. They are basically the same kit, but there are differences Besides the body, Boot covert etc for the convert. The Convert kit also included an Air conditioner compressor & lines. The Coupe has the W-30 Air Cleaner & hoses. First issues of the Coupe had a standard front bumper/grill that was supposedly modified to move the parking lights inboard to clear the W-30 Ram-Air Scoops Otherwise, yes they are the same. I have both first issues, Coupe & Convert. I have not seen the Convertible re-issued though. The Coupe body is currently offered as a Slot car kit.

Revell and Revell Germany
Edsel-Dan replied to CrazyGirl's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
True, Decals, Box Art & Price (And possible Color of plastic [59 Ford Skyliner]) are the Differences in Rev US & Rev Germany issues of the same kit. -
Is this kit motorcycle or Bicycle based?? A friend wants a Bicycle (Tricycle) version to replicate one he use to own and sell Ice Cream from.

Peterbilt 378 jet truck
Edsel-Dan replied to midengineaddict's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yes, AMT offered the Shockwave in their SnapFast 1/32 series. Not sure how accurate it was. Cab looked to be straight from the Stock Semi. I always wanted that kit, but only one I ever saw in the stores was opened and missing parts.- 18 replies
